Yes, that pretty much sums it up.

Solely because of longevity history will favor Wlad Klitschko, even though his resume is weaker. I'd favor prime Bowe in any h2h matchup, though.

Wlad will have a nice record of accumulation. Like one of those baseball players who is never an All Star, but solid enough to stick around and get 2000 hits over 20 years or more.

He doesn't have the highlights of Bowe, especially not the peak, but his longevity will be remembered.

Couple of very vocal haters does not change how history will remember it.

And for the people that think h2h Bowe would win so easily lets not forget that Golota who is far far slower, has less power, worse technique and even has a worse chin than Wlad still beat the crap out of Bowe even if he was a little removed from his prime.

Problem with Bowe is that he fought like a small fighter completely giving up his height prefering to go on the inside.
Now if that is just part of your arsenal that is fine but Bowe had no clue how to fight tall or how to use his reach.

The poll is lopsided because its a easy question.

And for the love of god stop with the circular ATG reasoning, just because Wlad did not beat a ATG he can't become a ATG? by that logic we will never have a ATG again in the HW division.

Wlad has tons more accomplishments. That said, Bowe seems a lot more durable and in the possesion of a chin Wlad can only dream about having. If these two ever squared on in their prospective primes, I'd have to go with my when-in-doubt-bet-on-the-black-guy betting technique.

I haven't seen one person be vocal and hating. Wlad ranks higher for me, I have no doubt. But that doesn't neccasserily make him the greater fighter. Bowe has better wins and I'd pick him over Wlad h2h at their peaks. And who said anything about not being an ATG because he never beat one? I know I didn't.

I think Wladimir is the greater fighter simply because he has achieved more and has dominated a division for years. That gives him an edge, not as great as Klitschko fans will have you believe, the division went through years of being stale and only now seems to be picking up (im optimistic). Bowe has the greatest win out of the two by a considerable distance. H2H is debatable, Klitschko being the better outside fighter but Bowe being the more versatile of the two. Klitschko close but clear.

 Really? Bowe had 2 great showings against a man who was pretty much having a heart attack at the time. Wlad, and it's not close.

Holy was going through physical turmoil in pretty much all that time. It's really no secret.

Holy was dealing with the aftermath of his older brothers murder in the build-up to Bowe 1.

Holy claims he had hepatitis for their 3rd fight but thats the only health issue he had vs Bowe as far as I'm aware.

Not even close. I ain't even a huge Wladimir fan.

Still think Bowe was the more exciting fighter.
