Yeah, he can do it all, strong as an ox, big hitter, but can box and counter really well when he wants to. He's going to be a star if/when he does pro. He choose to put the pressure on tonight, and just bull dozed through Egan.

Big cheer, and standing ovation for Egan after he announced his retirement in the ring, nice to see it. Some servant to Irish boxing for the last 13 years.

I proposed the RTE player but then edited my post thinking it wasn't available in England. Should have never doubted myself! :patsch

What weight category would you see Joe Ward operating at in the pro's?

At 19 he will only get bigger you would imagine, but I don't think he is big enough for heavyweight.

    Cruiser or Light heavy perhaps?

I think he'll round off at cruiser-weight, he might gain a few more kilo's over the next while, but i don't think he'll get much bigger.

Great fight! Nolan boxed brilliant for the first two rounds but no way was the last round a draw. Would like to see Willie turn pro, great engine on him.

Agree fully, Nolan never boxed better and deserved his win but Willie won the last by 4 or 5. I fancied Mac before the fight but well done to Nolan.
PS Guinness but it does travel well!

If Turner wins, and he should, then Red will have a clean sweep of men elite titles!
