Uh, now hang on a minute...

I'm all in on Peterson vs. Holt and still haven't settled the payouts on that one yet. :D

Oh my. That was unexpected. Wasnt this supposed to have been a showcase fight for Art ?

Good fight. Won despite the point deduction. Good.

New judges showing veteran judges how it is done.

Perez is a live dog and a difficult fight for most. Gary Shaw is an idiot though, so good for Perez.

They gave it to Perez!!! Awesome! :happy

Fight was all sorts of fun, but Alejandro clearly had the better of at least six of the rounds.

Should probably start a thread when judges get it right in unexpected circumstances.

The Scorpion has stung again! :ibutt

(he almost upset Diego Magdaleno, too, scoring a KD1...)

Perez has been mismanaged I think. He's got talent but fights too macho. Needs to jab in more. Wicked body-shots and combinations. Moves his head well, but not enough when opening up. He lunges in with that left hook too transparently. Like a poor man's David Tua, and even looks the part too. But he's smart. He's got good instincts. Counters the sloppy jab with the overhand right when he chooses to fight with his brain rather than with mere brawn.

He has no promoter. Hopefully somebody picks him up and sends him to his correct weight class, Featherweight.

:deal He lookedcway too small to fight Art. FW is a good weight for him. He's a good fighter, but he does leave himself open with some lazy punches.
