Not sure if most folks have kept tabs on PTP since these days (we don't have too many old boxing heads anymore, lots of new blood it seems) - but he's still very much paraplegic and yet still involved with the sport, in a training capacity. He actually had walked away from the sport altogether, unwilling to accept the bittersweet reality of no longer being able to revel in the individual glory of being the victorious man in the ring himself, but was convinced to pass on his firsthand knowledge of the fight game by a fan (and hungry up-and-comer) named Justin DeLoach. The kid even left Ronnie Shields to work with Williams, who guided him to a nationally televised knockout win over 16-0 Dillon Cook this past March on ShoBox after just a couple of months together. DeLoach has since moved on to a different coach, but he did plant the seed of wanting to play armchair (or rather, at the risk of sounding crude, wheelchair) quarterback for young boxers in Paul's mind.

Does anybody know who else is or was in his stable besides DeLoach? With his indefatigable attitude, I can't imagine Williams would let the dissolution of that partnership dissuade him from continuing to seek out new pupils.

I'm equally interested to know if anyone can shed any light on what Paul's up to and wish him the best.

Let's hope with new treatments and therapies that he one day walks again.
