Why do people hate Dan Rafael so much?

    Dan is probably the best information man in the business. But he's also extremely arrogant and often times unprofessional.


    Just a matter of time before someone slaps the **** out of him.

    He also is far too ***** to talk about PEDs in boxing. He'd rather sit on that gravy train and get his free fight passes than take his job and profession seriously.

    I have zero issue's with the man. He genuinely likes the sport and spends a great deal of time watching film and doing research.

    His weight just makes him an easy target for A-holes.

    I would venture a guess that probably 75 percent of the posters who say they don't like Rafael because he's fat and criticizes fighters ... are fat guys who criticize fighters on this forum.

    Only Rafael gets paid for it and they don't.

    If you can't refute something he says with facts, it's easy to just say he's fat ... like that has anything to do with it.

    He's not particularly insightful about anything boxing-related, but merely serves as a vessel through which promoters can most publicly "leak" things. He can't score a fight, holds petty grudges, and doesn't just have many bad thoughts but arrogantly holds said bad thoughts. Though at the same time, I find it absolutely hilarious when equally mediocre writers obviously jealous of his position in the industry whine about him.

    The fact that he still goes on about Haye and the toe gate, when the rest of the world moved on from that over a year ago is one of his many irritating traits.

    Surprised he can breathe being that far up WK arse as well,
