NBC Sports Fight Night: Vyacheslav Glazkov vs. Malik Scott RBR

Scott won but he doesn't look able to take the next step up. Little power, wobbly legs, got gassed quickly. He was fighting a guy with half the fights on the pro level. **** talking and posing aside, he never really seemed to dominate the ring.

Still, I hate to see a guy work that hard and get jobbed.... and jobbed he was.

Well, I think in truth that this helps Malik more than hurts him. He keeps his undefeated record, and a result like this will give him incentive to develop a better right hand to go along with his educated left.

 

Scott next time knock the dude out..

 

Glazkov defends the decision and says he felt like he beat Scott, and that Scott just ran from him all night as usual and didn't exchange with him. He says he tried and failed to force a fight on him but still feels he won.

Scott says he didn't run, he's a boxer with the reflexes of Floyd Mayweather. He says to look at Glazkov's face and then at his own face. Scott says everything was in Glazkov's favor - the event was promoted by his promoter, the ring was tiny. He says "If I'm running, then catch me."

He says he's going to go home and kiss his momma. He'll watch the tape and figure out how to come back and stop Glazkov in the rematch.

 

Good interview by Scott and he summed it up in a nutshell. It's a Main Event fight and Glazkov is the Main Event fighter. Simple as that.

He can't he's too big of a ***** , but he clearly won this fight .

 

This is why the HW division is dead in America. The networks back crude sluggers like Mitchell and Wilder ahead of fighters like Scott, and when these bums get thrown to the Klitschkos they get raped, while Scott is rarely able to get fights on TV. Horrible decision.

Malik won quite clearly in my opinion and hopefully fights to become Wlad's mandatory asap.
He's as ready as he will be for the big one.
