Unskilled plodder gets smashed to bits by actual boxer in their first fight.
Who on earth thought that a re-match was the logical next step?

I would like to see Banks fight Malik Scott after this with Scott then going on to fight Wlad. :yep

If attempted enough times the plodder will beat the boxer.

And intill people are no longer interested/investing in Mitchell remaches of his losses will keep happening.

    Well, that isn't true.

Anyway, regarding Banks vs. Mitchell II, I think people just want to make absolutely sure that Mitchell is a dud before letting go of him as a prospect. Also, why not reward a guy like Banks for putting in years of toil and scoring an upset by giving him another payday? (and chance to double down on the bedpost notch to pad up his resume)

I really not sure if the outcome would be the same.
Don't forget Banks was in trouble in that fight too, and he might get caught early in the rematch.

I think this one is as 50/50 as they come.

They are desperately trying to get the Seth Mitchell hype-train going again.

    :patsch ****ing hell.

There was a rematch clause, simple as that. Fringe contender knocks out unbeaten prospect, clause exercised. Not much room for conspiracy theories. Pretty ordinary humdrum. Move along, nothing to see here.

Now that we are talking conspiracies, I still don't think Banks acted alone... There was a second puncher! :bart

    ^This.
Let's see what happens IF Mitchell lands first this time?
(Will Banks get the reach around)

I personally find it rather heroic so to speak that Mitchel wanted the rematch immediately. Hell better fighters than he need tune-ups every other fight.

The point is Mitchel is a heavyweight. The leading weight class for 1 punch ko's in history & he got caught & lost & is now exercising a rematch clauses with no tune-ups.
