Who is though? The brothers are levels above everyone else,I do think Fury will hold a belt at some point though .. he'd give the american prospects a run for their money aswell as some of the euro operators....he'd also batter Price.

I have mentioned this before, it has nothing to do with boxing. But i honestly think David Price is just a nice guy, and i don't think intrinsically he is a immensely confident guy. Guys like Tony Bellew, i have spoken to people who knew him while he was growing up! And he was always a confident guy, lets just leave it as that.

Guys like Audley Harrison & David Haye are intrinsically personality wise stubborn, and have faith in themselves. I was watching interviews on box-nation about David Price and Maloney & Bunce where saying...

"David Price used to crouch down because he was concious of his height during his earlier career as a amateur"...

Statements like that give you a insight into intrinsically maybe what confidence demons are inside of him.

Its that inner intrinsic self belief that brings you back from defeats and set backs.

If you read about all these fighters that don't give up, they all share personality traits, stubbornness, blind faith in oneself, and the inability to listen to others over themselves. Its why fighters like Roy Jones Junior and James Toney keep fighting on, and shrug off defeats! And they will fight on until the end! Until their is nothing left!

Its why Audley Harrsion also keeps coming back, those innate personality traits! You cannot teach somebody to change their innate personality.

He'd end up getting countered and knocked out again,Johnson wouldn't take long to figure him out.

Exactly, he has gotta make changes to his defence. This would force him to make changes and price would not be able to blast him out.

Imagine it though if he managed to KO Price early ... where would he go from there?Would be a nightmare! Reckon Price should get in there with Chisora ...

It's the shock  not even the biggest Price fan but it's been interesting to read the responses from people that are etc, interesting to see a fair few completely give up on him aswell and switch to team Fury....always good to see how people react, especially after all the "price will smash him in 1 round" comments etc

Johnson is a decent fight for him but I have a feeling he will fight someone like Sprott first. He needs to be busier though- he is 30 (?) so therefore can't bide his time like Fury. If he is going to fight British level opponents he should be out every couple of months.

Utter nonsense. Dimitrenko and Ustinov in particular suffered severe beatdowns.

The problem with these "winnable" fights is that after saturday nights showing any of them could actually destroy Price. He is stuck between a rock and a hard place with punch resistance as bad as that.

Unfortunately that major flaw is that he has zero punch resistance, thats not good when you are a heavyweight

Lordgore, know you like Fury, but are you including him in the men the brothers are levels above?I think he's still a bit of an unknown quantity, but could see him doing well against either brother. The time could be right, especially in,say a year from now.Sorry for going off topic.

I think he could beat Vitali, being completely honest when I say that aswell ... he'd give Wlad a bloody good scrap too.
Would give Fury a very good chance of boxing Vitali to a UD,could see Wlad catching him late maybe though.

Inactivity is the least of Prices problems, infact I felt he fought quite reguarly. 3x in 5 months is decent for any title level fighter.

The problem for Price is he is to nice. In the ring he doesn't have a mean streak, and outside the ring he is to loyal. He should have ditched Franny Smith as soon as he turned pro and ditched Maloney as soon as he lost his TV deal.

From a training point of view, to prepare your fighter for fighting a 6ft5 250lbs HW by predomonatley sparring a novice Cruiserweight is ridiclous. Price should have been out in Germany sparring like Fury has done, gone out to the USA like Fury. From a physical standpoint, he is top heavy. Thats why he got KO'd on Saturday. His legs couldnt support him once his senses were gone. Im 5,9 and 165lbs and my legs are bigger than Prices. He doesn't have any kind of defence and he walks back onto the ropes far to often.

Regarding promotion/managment. He got rushed because Maloney has nobody else. Price jumped from Domestic to world class, when there are 20-30 Heavyweights inbetween he could have been facing. But Maloney had to fill up the Echo and have him main eventing to the likes of Fres Oquendo, Timut Ibragimov, Monte Barrett won't get 6,000 in the arena.

Price got over confidence from knocking over undermatched opponents. Dallas, McDermott, Sexton, Harrison & Skelton were all good opponents but there needed to be something inbetween those and Tony Thompson who was a legit top 10 Heavyweight. He needed rounds, he needed testing. Because he hadnt been tested when he faced somebody decent they exposed him.

Price also played up to the crowd. There was to much pressure on his shoulders, and he was more interested in please the crowd and getting the KO than using his brain. Price should have jabbed Thompsons face of for 6 rounds and then hit him with the right hand.

And lets be real. That was a grazing punch, trown from an out of shape and unmotivated Tony Thompson that was coming out for one last pay check.

This should be the best thing to happen to him, but it won't because he is to nice and to loyal. He won't ditch his trainer and he win't ditch Maloney!

If I was managing him I would get a new Trainer.

    GET A NEW TRAINER
    April - Richard Towers
    July - Fres Oquendo
    SIGN WITH MATCHROOM
    September - Travis Walker
    December - Timur Ibragimov

    March 2013 - Thompson II

The burst ear drum was an excuse IMO.
I think they are going to take a time-out to fine tune and tweak the many holes in his game.
People would of wanted him back straight away thinking he cought unluckily and this way he can be prepared properly so he doesn't get knocked out again.
