    I feel sad for Andrzej, he used to be a decent fighter.

    In his prime, I think we're safe to say neither Saleta nor Adamek would last the distance with Andrzej.

    Oh Man, Adamek would have been squashed like a bug vs Golota from 1996. And Saleta gets his ass out boxed something terrible.

    I just liked the snapshot look at so many fights!

    I have no doubt Golota from '96 would have handily outclassed and stopped Saleta, and especially Adamek. None whatsoever. But back at that time, those guys wouldn't have even been fringe contenders, so I don't think those victories would have meant a whole lot.

    Did you even see the fight? Golota, for his age, gave a good account of himself. He showed a ton of heart & guts in there.

    I guess its really over now & time for that final fork to be inserted.

    Do you think he could improve his stamina by staying off the booze, on a good diet & plenty of daily exercise?

    Oh yeah...throw in a couple of tune up fights before his final HW Title shot against Wlad.;)

    My respect to Golota.He gave all he could but he is shot fighter.Saleta is the same age but Golota fighters aging differently.If this fight was 10 years ago Saleta would not have chance.

    Golota did fight like hell. He came out very aggressive (unlike the slow starting 90s version of Golota) and he schooled Saleta in the first round but Saleta started to take over in the 2nd. Those were some vicious body shots Saleta was landing on Golota's plump belly and they were not only hurting Golota but contributed to tiring him out so quickly. At 242 lbs I thought Golota would have looked much more in shape than he did. He must have traded in some lost muscle for fat cuz a prime Golota at 242 was pretty ripped and that was just not the case. At least he did much better this time against Saleta than he did against Adamek and he actually hurt Saleta in the 4th round I believe. Would have been beautiful if he would have pulled a monster comeback and finished Saleta but no such luck. The spitting out the mouth piece was obviously intentional but I guess Golota thought it was just fitting to give us all one last dirty tactic before bowing out.


    Like Rums has said many times, Golota should have stopped fighting after Mollo. He was 40 years old and it would have been a nice way to end his long career. I was really hoping he would have ended his career with a win to help make up for all his career failures but it didnt happen. :-(
