I think so too. He looked terrible against Trout. Punches had no snap and his offense was the least crisp I've ever seen it. He was visibly slower also. Three fights (which could wind up being real battles) would be bad for his health.

Cotto needs to get his undersized shopworn ass back to 147, maybe he can still beat some top names there. He has no business at 154, he's too small and too shot, Canelo, Trout, Lara, Vanes etc. they all would whoop his ass

I thought about the Ishe fight on Saturday. Cotto could take it, even at this stage. If he has a rough go, that's a clear sign to hang them up. If he loses, at least he's not taking the power of a guy like Canelo.

Hope Cotto goes out in a blast. He deserves nothing but that and more after all the great fights he gave the public.

There's nothing wrong with a fighter/man wanting to give up his brutal profession to take care of his kids. As an athlete Cotto's already given a good 90% to 95% of his time to his legion of fans with the fights he's been involved in throughout his career so it's time for those same people to grow up and let Cotto now do the same thing and more for his real fans, his family, and let him bow out gracefully like every other boxer and athlete should be allowed to do.

The man has done plenty in his career.

He is without question at the point to where he can do as he chooses before riding off into the sunset.

Cotto should fight Ishe Smith. Then Canelo if they both have belts. Then get a easy win. He should move down and ko Khan as his last fight

Floyd got bloody cuz he was sick and his nose was running

he felt bad for cotto so gave him 3 rounds

he could've easily won 12 rounds but gave him those 3

    cotto(e) is a bum

he could've fought emmanuel at 150 (since he wanted to fight margarito(e) at 150) for millions and millions but instead wanted to fight trout only to get an AZZ whoopin :yep

    Alvarez, Martinez, and Pacquiao.

    Trout rematch sounds very boring.

I hope Cotto retires after his very next fight. He gave his all and has earned his future place in the hall of fame. Good bye champ! Thanks for all the great fights!!!
