Diaz is being underestimated by many on here. The man can punch. Sure, he's past his best but we all saw Khan shipping punches to a powderpuff lightweight in his last fight. Diaz can knock him out. He beat Porter in his last fight IMO.

Sounds like fight of the century! I wonder who'll they'll find next for khan, rummaging through the graveyards, for opponents.

    Weak as **** fight. Init

Had he offered Vyacheslav Senchenko, Juan Manuel Marquez, Humberto Soto, Tim Bradley, Josesito Lopez or Jessie Vargas good money he might have landed one of them. Team Khan are cheap ****s. init

It's not that they're cheap ****s. It's just that, during this rehabilitation period, it's a good idea to fight in the UK to maintain/reignite interest here. Because when he jumps back in with the Garcias and the Petersons, he'll be staying in the States for another long duration and alienate his UK fan base more.

That's probably why Diaz has been chosen. For a fight that's just a practice-run until he's given another crack at Garcia, he [Diaz] won't cost them and arm and a leg to bring over.

If this fight happens then we are witnessing a massive change in the trajectory of Khan's career; he had a go at fighting the best, being a warrior, and couldn't quite hack it, so now he's going down a different path. Expect to see Khan a lot more in the UK over the next couple of year against inferior opposition to boost his record before another shot at the big time when Mayweather is 39 or something.

Khan always seems to get the shitty end of the stick in these debates, he seems to be held to a different standard. He is coming off the back of a couple of losses, one a devastating stoppage and still people want him to jump in with the cream of the crop.

Every fighter who gets KOd goes on a rebuilding exercise just to regain confidence. Look at Ortiz and the run of fights he had after Maidana handed his arse to him, no one batted an eyelid about that because its quite normal for a fighter like Ortiz to rebuild in that way.

i don't buy this rebuilding bull**** anymore. if they wanted to rebuild him they would put his marriage on hold and squeeze in 4 fights for him against decent level opponents, instead hes fighting twice a year. I think his team knows that there limited to the risks they can take with him and are going with the safest options, i suppose its good for him as he can earn money but we as fans are left out.
