Zivic was a bit of a wizard. Mayweather probably ain't buying though.

He's in the mix for top 15, defo.

    Starling would batter Floyd.

No way he's top 15 WW H2H IMO, not too far off though, got some brilliant attributes.

I don't understand how Mosley is getting mentioned in this thread. Forrest showed how flawed a prime Mosley was, and Floyd exploited the same flaws against an older but still good version. I can't imagine Shane beating him. Floyd would slow down his activity level.

True. Floyd's weakest weight division is welter (not even counting 154). And the fact of the matter is...Floyd has never sought to truly test himself against prime opponents. But with that said, Floyd is the smartest fighter I have yet to see in terms of career management... But that is besides the point. Where I give Floyd the benefit of the doubt in H2H at welterweight is ring IQ, speed, but mostly defense. his technique along with his reflexes look special on film.
The fighters you mentioned give Floyd major trouble...But I don't think they beat him...One thing I think you may be overlooking at welterweight is Floyd's strength. No one is moving him backwards. Not even Mosely who while not being a prime version, was very physical...Mosely sought to manhandle Mayweather, as he had done with Margarito, but it didn't work out that way. Anyway, just my two cents...Cheers Cobra.

No one bar Curry pushed Starling backwards. I'd favour Moochy to push Floyd around.

I don't think so...I think Mosely would be physically stronger than Starling...But actually Mooch and Floyd do some of the same things...They are both very 'hands on' grabbing hands, shoulders, around the waist, around the neck...pushing a bit, pulling a bit, to gain a better position...but with that said, I think Floyd is better at it... and slicker with it. Also with better speed and reflexes.

Well the differences between what Floyd brings to the table and what Forrest brought to the table physically are pretty stark.

The Mosley that fought Floyd was pish.Quite happy to go the route after a perfunctory effort for a few rounds and gain another paycheck instead of doing the decent thing and retiring years ago.

Cannot refute that one bit...But will stand by the context of the example used.

Mayweather at welter is like canto at Fly H2H for physical advantages against the greats.

Except where canto was busy and threw double and triple left hooks, FLoyd throws one at a time far too much.Or he'll plant and do a poor man's Don Curry flat footed sharpshooter impersonation(except without the heavy handedness) against some overmatched chump.

Surely no one thinks that wil work against against of the true natural welter greats.Or even someone like Duran on his day at 147.

Wasn't really aiming it at you by the way dp, i just tend to get consumed with rage when i see the past half decade version of Mosley being discussed.

Simply one of the worst high profile fighters of my lifetime after Forrest got through with him.

Starling is the better inside fighter though IMO. And do you think Mosley coulda' did as good a job as Starling did against Nunn at 160? Even that Nunn?

Bar Molinares I can't even recall Starling ever being seriously hurt. Curry knocked him about a bit in their second fight, but not to the extent Forrest smashed Mosley around the ring in their first fight.

I would not only bet that Starling can match Shane for strength, but I'd say Starling would beat him hands down as well.

Starling/Mosely fight? That would be a tough fight to call for me on a prime for prime. But don't really see either winning hands down..Do agree that Starling was a better inside fighter...Stronger? Would not say that.
Addendum: Dude...might change my mind if you could put up that Starling/Brown fight (hint hint)

I am not sure. With his attitude and not fighting the best I would say no.. Maybe top 25.
