Excuses - you can paint a picture like that about any fighter. You must be a Floyd fan, I can paint you one hell of a smoke and mirrors story of his fights.

Hatton was a shell of himself, convenient - he was such a shell he was obliterated in 2 rounds. If Floyd had fought him he would have KO'd Hatton in 1 round right? Of course... :rofl

Pac isn't looking as explosive because he isn't fighting tomato cans like Margarito anymore

Mayweather wouldn't fight the version of Hoya that Pac fought. That performance is a masterclass and is very underrated.
Manny back then had some of the greatest footwork and movement from the past 30 years.

lots of handpicked catchweight fights. I don't give fighters much credit for 'catchweight' fights. we have 18 Divisions pick one and fight in it.

the thing is that he fougth the best AVAILABLE, who else could he have fought? yes the catchweights affected the wins but to most fans one pound against Cotto isnt that much of a difference even to some boxing expert one pound wasnt a lot. add that to people saying the fight wasnt made because Mayweather was scared of Pacquiao and that makes him seem unvinsible

Twas a very close fight and Floyd didn't want to take the risk as he knew Hoya had him figured out.
