This one is my favorite,

Mosley beats Margarito then goes to the Wildcard to make the fight. Roach tells him he's much better than Oscar and as such won't get a 147 fight. Roach offers it to Shane at 143lbs knowing full well he can't make that weight anymore.

Note, Mosley was not offered the 145lb catchweight that Cotto was. (Who comes across as the bigger threat Gander?)

Bear in mind they have the same promoter (Mr Bob honorable Arum), who will know full well that Cotto hasn't looked the same since losing to Margarito, and will know full well that Joe Santiago isn't up to much, AKA that Cotto is basically training himself at this point.

Funny how once Mosley is knocked off of his perch by Mayweather, Pac is more than happy for a 147lb fight with Shane?

Funnier how once Cotto has a solid run of momentum going at 154lbs, Pacquaio will only offer 150lbs for the re-match.

For all his "greatness" at ww, Pac will be remembered most for his 1001 excuses for not being able to take RBT up to the day of the fight and getting KTFO by a 40 year old lightweight.

Manny feasted on drained, fighter coming off losses.

Cotto was battered and went life and went life an death with Clottey. Then Pac needed a CW.

Clottey lost to Cotto. Still manged to scuff of Pac but Pac won simple because he threw a 1000 punches.

Beat Magarito at a CW after he got savagely beaten for 9rds then KOed by Mosley.

Only developed the courage to fight Mosley after he was a couple of years older and Floyd toyed with him.

The he got outboxed and eventualy KOed by 40 yr old Marquez, a Marquez who he and team thought they had caught at the right time because of his age.

So are you saying Cotto at 145 was a cherrypick? What was your prediction? So they weren't so eager to fight Mosley as their first fight in his 7th division. Looks at Floyd's comp in his 5th weight class, as an established 2x SWW champ.

What's the problem with Cotto at 150? Pac said he wouldn't go above 147, then Cotto goaded him into offering 150, then turned tail when Pac obliged.

They fought Oscar at welterweight first actually.

Why do you bring up Floyd? Floyd is a cherrypicker and a ducker according to the pacturds so why would you justify something by using Floyd as the example :patsch ffs

They fought Oscar at 147 first, before dropping to 140 for Hatton.

Why would they fight Cotto at 145, but be more than happy to fight Clottey at 147? It comes down to risk assessment.

Ok, let's disregard the fact that you were blatantly wrong and SJS just corrected the **** outta you. And simply steer the conversation in a different way by concentrating on one part of his reply.

    Clear like glass.

I meant a legit welter fight. DLH was not a legit welter, and Pac had 0 intention of moving to 147 if not for the can't miss offer. It's like Josesito fighting Canelo at 154,

I bring up Floyd as a reference point. Obviously moving up 7 classes means something when other elite guys don't even attempt legit reigns in their 5th. Take Cotto for example, he asked to defend his own belt at a Cw with a rehydration clause against a one eyed bum, in his 3rd. Moving up is hard.

Obviously because Cotto was his 1st legit welter fight in his 7th division, and Clottey came later. By beating Cotto (even at 145) he proved to himself and others he can take a welters punch. Since then he hasn't requested a a welter come down a few pounds.

I'm blatantly wrong , ya sure. Ok so Pacquiao ducks Mosley to fight Cotto after jumping up several weight divisions. I guess we should acknowledge that Floyd who started his WW career in 2005, didn't fight him until 2000-****ing-10 when he was being called out year after year. Oh and he didn't fight Cotto either until 2012. Oh and he didn't fight Margarito at all. :good

It's also arguable that since then, he hasn't fought a WW who was considered as big a risk as Cotto.

    Agree?
