Another camp under Hunter which is the main thing here, if Khan wins it would most deffo set up a Garcia rematch in the winter.

If it happens, it happens. That's fine. But if they are going to go straight from this calibre of opponent to Garcia, that's a mistake IMO. I'd like to see him take on a more meaningful fighter now but if he thinks he's not ready yet, that's not really a problem so long as his next fight isn't against one of the titleists. The step up is just too great and he won't have really put the things he's been working on with Hunter to the test.

The likes of Senchenko or Lopez are more meaningful opponents without being too risky so they represent ideal preparation for getting back into the mix at World level. If he fights someone like them before looking to go for a belt again then all well and good but if he jumps straight from Julio Diaz to Danny Garcia, I can see him being in for a rude awakening again.

True, but he's getting married in the summer so will not fight until the end of the year in sept/oct, so if he jumps straight back in with #1, then it's a bad idea if he only fights Diaz beforehand!

Amir Khan offered a fight to 6 other credible fighters... even asking someone like Marquez shows he was trying to fight the best... it's not entirely his fault they rejected the offer...

Kell Brook turned down an offer to fight Timothy Bradley and now that moron is waiting on Alexander... that's what he gets for avoiding Bradley..

Having said this I agree he's arrogant and talks a lot of crap for someone who isn't champion

If you think Khan vs Marquez or Bradley was ever going to happen in his next fight, then you're off your rocker quite frankly.

My point is that he was trying to get a good name.. whether it was a suitable opponent for Khan or not is a different story

It's easy to say that they offered the fight to them but let's be honest, they're either lying or made an offer in the full expectation that it would be rejected.

There's absolutely no way their thought process would be "Marquez or Bradley? No. Well, that just leaves Julio Diaz then." The opponent was always going to be a level, or two as it's worked out, below world level

You don't improve by having fights, you improve in the gym. This is probably the main point of it, another camp to work on technique etc.

Fights are a great way to expose weaknesses, and I think it's pretty clear what Khan's weaknesses are. If this was a title defence then yeah by all means hate, but the guy is re building and staying active. And at still a tender age, he has got time on his side.

Thats demonstrably untrue...Neither of those two would struggle and fail to get past Dean Byrne. The only reason that Brook struggled against him in the 2nd half of their fight is because his nose was in tatters, he was swallowing blood and as a consequence gassed badly.

I think the adjustments to beat a Garcia is more mental than tactical, as long as mind set is more geared towards boxing than fighting Khan can beat this guy without too many problems in my view.

Of course being mindful of Garcia's left hand would be one of the things they would work on in camp.

Time will tell but Khan having 3 ok type fights in a row would not make sense, im sure if beats Diaz then there will be a big fight in the winter probs Garcia...

    Thank you sir...
