How am I a hater? You asked who he should fight instead and you listed Ortiz and Berto to fight at JMW :patsch What the hell would be the point of that? Williams said himself he'd fight Pac since Pac was looking to fight at JMW for an 8th title.

And Pac took the easiest road. Admit it.

Yeah the little filipino who clowned Floyd by jumping several weight classes and beating all the guys he wanted nothing to do with in a few years took the easiest road. :patsch

keep hitting yourself on the head u tool.

I've already admitted that Floyd missing out on the Cotto fight when Cotto had his 0 hurt his standing.

Yeah Floyd must have been terrified of that Mosley rematch after beating him already then Pac fighting him again :patsch

:rofl You still havent answered my question. So why didn't Floyd fight Williams?

While your at it you should probably explain why he didnt fight Cotto, Mosley back in 07/08/09, Margarito, and Pacquiao. Lets hear all the excuses.

Their advisor (Haymon) wouldn't make the Williams fight

Arum wouldn't sign the contract extension for Cotto/Oscar/Margarito/Hatton fights so Floyd had to buy it out and work with Shaw instead and try and fight them on his own.

Arum cancelled the Floyd/Pacquiao mediations and signed the Clottey fight almost immediately.

I thought Floyd was his own boss? :huh

Oh so Floyd wanted to fight Margarito and Cotto but Arum wouldn't let him? He sure looked real eager to get those fights made . :nut

He cancaled them bc Floyd wouldn't budge at all on any of his demands - they tried to comprise with him 3 or 4 differnt times, and Floyd either kept refusing or switching stances. Later on he straight up priced himself out of the fight.

He was ready to sign but Arum wouldn't work with Oscar for when Floyd and him were to fight so the Top Rank Deal was off

What other demands wouldn't Floyd budge on? He went from random testing no cutoffs, then to 24 days, then to 14 days. That should have been more than fair since Pac was ok with it 2 years later.

What does Oscar have to do with Cotto and Margarito?

    and

He was offered several cut off dates, he refused. He changed his stance and came back and said he'd accept a 2 week cutoff. Pac said yes, then Floyd switched it up again and said that wasnt on the table anymore. Then when Pac caves in on the tests, Floyd again switches stances and prices himself out of the fight when he previously was ok with 50/50. :dead

Top Rank didn't operate out of a fight by fight basis. Arum always had multi-fight deals with Mayweather and those were the fights Floyd asked for.

That all happened in one mediation?

what does Oscar have to do with it??when Arum wanted Floyd to sign an extension he wanted guarantees on fights with Margo,Cotto and Hatton and wants the Oscar fight to be made..Arum rejected it so he left

Arum stated that Mayweather would have fought Margarito for the 8 million, but he wanted a guaranteed 10 million to fight Miguel Cotto and Ricky Hatton. Arum only guaranteed him 7 million. And for those who don’t know Cotto and Hatton were at the Mayweather-Gatti fight and Cotto was ranked number 5 by the ring at the time (Proof: Listen to the commentary Jim Lampley at the end of round 5) . Cotto had just moved up to the 140 pound weight class and he didn’t make an offer to fight Mayweather after the Gatti fight.

Arum said Mayweather also asked for $20 million to fight De La Hoya, a fight Arum said he wasn’t interested in participating in. “That’s not in the cards,” Arum said. “He wants $20 million for the De La Hoya fight? It’s not there. Sometimes, my man, you gotta know when to hold ‘em and when to fold ‘em. We’ll talk about things down the road.” Notice this part Arum was talking.

    Positives:
-Cotto was a great win, one of his best. 145 catch weight sucks but isn't life altering.
-Clottey was a top 10 WW, #5 if memory serves.
-Bradley had only one fight at WW, but was the best JWW in the world.

    Negatives:
-Oscar hadn't fought there in 7 years and somehow managed to get outweighed by a LW.
-Mosley was on a horrible stretch in his career.
-JMM was 38 and 39 in their fights, and his only other career fight at WW he didn't win a single round.

Overall, it was his most publicized stretch of his career, but not his best weight. It is likely his most accomplished single weight class as he never stuck around in any other for too long.
