In the list? Oh, probably 175-200 mate. Pretty thin but it's what a monster he must've been that makes him such an interesting fighter, and what a tank he must've been at fly.

If you consider he didn't have super fly moving up to fight Herrera, past his best but still good, and smash him up that bad is impressive. If you can go off what seems to be the consensus and take the footage for what it is, you'll lean towards giving Borkorsor 'winners kudos' so to speak, and may well feel comfortable with him around there.

But smashing up Gonzalez and outboxing Salavarria seems to show a multi-faceted fighter. He looked a decent counter puncher against Herrera too, as well as an awkward bulldozer of course.

If he could've still made the weight and Ohba had survived I wouldn't have been surprised if Borkorsor ****ed him up. Then again I'm not quite as high on Ohba, and I do think for a time Borkorsor was a more dangerous fighter than Chionoi and more reliable than Berkrek.

But yeah, not long, a single defence although The Ring said after Salavarria and Ohba's death he'd essentially unified the titles (beat Betulio and of course Erbito had been stripped post Betulio for a positive test but never 'lost his title in the ring'.)

More of a hypothetical H2H monster than a high ranking ATG IMO, but you might find the above impressive in terms of your criteria.

Bit counter-productive, but it does relieve you of any blame, so understandable.

This reminds me: my grandmas should be on the list, both of them. You ain't even seen little faces 'til you've seen theirs!

****ing brilliant fighter though I'm sure. Was he just a bad matchup for Williams though? And do all of those lightweights deserve ranking? What about Eddie Booker stacking up against Montgomery and Joyce? And what about Kid Chocolate, Tae-Shik Kim, Mike Tyson, Matthew Saad Muhammad, Flash Elorde? Is Joyce really 20 or so places above them?

But I still think he warrants discussion, he was that good it seems.

The look I had revealed a sick ******* of a fighter with the best jab out of any of them.

And the answer to your question is "no" but kind of misses my (now non-existent) point that Joyce is not to be ranked behind the holy trinity of lightweight Jack, Montgomery and Williams but with them. Williams is CLEARLY the best of these and shitting on his chest absolutely entitles Joyce to be in that conversation. But I fell in love with the idea and the fighter and it doesn't bare up. Which means I now need another ****ing fighter.

Benny Lynch, Kid Chocolate and Aaron Pryor all make the top 50 of the BN list. Maybe i'll grab one of them.

Not a bad stream of consciousness post though was it? :yep

Absolutely skint mate. In Nakom Phanom province, North Thailand (North East, Issan, super poor region where a lot of top fighters come from) training kids (really basic stuff, just like a community scheme type thing out in a park, not a gym) and getting by on a pension which amounts to about £15 a month. From my limited Thai he seems jovial still, pretty sprightly and happy regardless, but my mate will take a look at it and give me proper translation. But I found the name of the gym out.

    Regional Thai news piece.

Anyway the big move will be early 2014. So if he's still there I plan to go and help him out and hopefully get to talk with him as much as I need to for the book. I might still get out there again before the year is out and if so I'll make the long trip to Isan to see him, has to be done.

They all deserve to be in with a shout for 90-110 IMO.

    Except Pryor of course.

Now you're not gonna' say Kameda, Arguello x2, shot Sang-Hyun Kim (who wasn't brilliant anyway) and past it Kid Pambele means Pryor is the better 'Hawk' than Chang....no way Mister.

I'll take Accavallo over Pryor for sure.

Aaron Pryor. I'll be damned if I know how that guy keeps finding himself on people's top 50 lists.
