Bob Foster versus Jack Dempsey

I know dempsey is not a full sized heavyweight..but he is more of a full sized heavyweight than foster was.

I would have to pick dempsey here..good body attack..able to come in on angles....likely has the harder punch...likely takes a punch better.....

could get dicy if dempsey comes at him stupid and gets caught...but all in all i think dempsey is a pretty safe bet to win.

 

Finally a fight that Dempsey can win. Foster had a brittle glass jaw and if Dempsey lands the left hook, it's light out. Frankly, I doubt Foster would be able to prevent that from happening.

 

If Firpo can catch Dempsey so can Foster.

Good fight. Dempsey takes longer than Frazier but gets to Foster in 3 or 4 rounds and smashes him tae ****.

 

The question here is, can Dempsey take fosters huge power?

Jack takes out the preying mantis early, very early.

 

I'd pick the bigger man by KO in the battle of the left hooks, Dempsey probably has the better chin and would be stronger pushing Foster back

 

Foster never beat a world class fighter over 175lbs, and he would not be starting with Dempsey.

 

Foster was a drag footed stalker, in this fight he would be on the back foot from the start, not where he was effective. A great LHVY who did not have the frame, or body strength to beat a rampaging Dempsey.
Blow out for Jack imo. This would be the Frazier fight again, only quicker.

The Dempsey from the "Hobo Camp" years would destroy Foster very quickly.

Saw Foster fight in person...great Lt Heavy champ...but this is prime Jack Dempsey...
