If Froch fought Ward 10 times, how many would the Cobra win?

I thought he got schooled. He scraped a round towards the end, but had very little consistent success. Froch is good, but Ward is an elite talent.

 

I always assume that both are at their best. But froch doesn't have the athletic gifts or technical tools to beat Ward, imo.

 

Oh I agree with you there DF, in that scenario Ward would beat him 10/10 he is just better in nearly every department.

Personally I thought Froch was outboxed and outfought and he did well not to get stopped.

Froch is great, but he was completely schooled in his fight with Ward, after watching that, I don't see how Froch beats him.

 

Froch wins at least one if they fought that many times.

 

Froch could maybe beat Ward once or twice if he fought him a full ten times.

Ward is an amazing fighter but so is Froch. Ward is a better fighter and more naturally talented but he's not light years above Carl and everybody else like all the Ward arse-suckers seem to think. It's just Ward style is ALL WRONG for Froch. Carl's style is ugly and rugged, Ward's is slick and skilful. The two styles don't gel at all. If Ward stood and traded with Froch then Carl would knock him out, I'm convinced of that. It's just Andre isn't stupid enough to do that, he fights to his own strengths like everyone should do.

If Froch fought him and managed to catch him with some big punches and rough Ward up like he did with Bute then he could definitely stop him. It's just that scenario isn't very likely to happen because Ward is too smart for that. If they fought again, even here in the UK, I'd pick Ward to win another wide UD. If Froch did beat him though I wouldn't be gobsmacked.

 

If Ward stood and traded with Froch, less the broken hand, he'd have stopped him. Ward is far above Froch, saying otherwise is delusional.

No it isn't. Ward can claim he had a busted hand all he wants, he wouldn't have stopped Froch. Ward has only 14 knockouts, that suggest he doesn't have AMAZING power is what you'd need to knock out Carl because of his toughness. When they fought he out-classed Froch, won every round but he didn't knock Carl down or wobble him or anything as far as I remember, he just ran circles around him technically with his style.

Ward stopped Dawson because he was weight-drained and he stopped Kessler because of bad cuts. Froch flat-out battered Jermaine Taylor and Lucian Bute into submission and both were a top strength going into the fight. Kessler himself said Froch hits harder than Ward. Just Ward is a lot better at picking his punches than Carl is because he's so slick. If did somehow stop Carl it would be by grinding him down, not by standing and trading and blasting him out.

 

I think the more they fought the more Froch would find the way to completely overpower Ward, annoy the hell out of him and hit him good & hard too many times, which would end up changing the phycology of the battle!

I could actually see Froch getting the upper hand in a long series of meetings, that is of course peak for peak.

Froch wouldnt beat him once out of 100 times. He doesnt have the footwork to beat a man like Ward.
