Six rounder versus the washed up version.

Three times was it? Which version are you seeking credit for?

the version that just went 0-5-1 version?
the version that just went 1-2-1 ?
the guy that just went 2-2 including a lose to the unknown Harry Barker?

Not a lot of respect for career stats like 28-13 in this thread, friend.

Ah, you mean the six round unverified newspaper decision? When the two met over distance, Moran got brutally stopped of course.

Nelson won three of seven fights the year after the Wolgast beating.

Not a sniff for you naughty chancer.

This is an excellent thread evinced ,[good word] by how many pages its gone to. You have most if not all of the usual suspects good picks!

    Me too.

I've no problem with quality control, it's crucial.

    Nothing, being serious

The bowker fight would of an excellent example to have on film as both bowker/Moran were well skilled examples of boxers for their time

And Stanley vs Moran would of been interesting as Stanley was not exactly known for playing by the rules

I'm just playing devils advocate really. No one can provide a definitive 100, but this list seems as good as any ,and a sight better than most. It's provoked discussion, and prompted a re-evaluation of some guys who have fallen into obscurity, and that can only be a positive.:good

Devil's advocate is cool :yep, and I agree a definitive top 100 is pretty much impossible

No I usually stay clear of lists that are more than twenty always second guessing myself :yep ,and really have in the past stayed within weight classes. as I think I mentioned earlier have been pretty ill for the last few months and was doing a fifty to keep myself busy . Then saw this thread and tweaked my list a bit I posted it the other day on another site not fantastically different to this one in names . Lists really aren't my thing as I say they are easily second guessed as a difference of ten to fifteen places can be wafer thin

Oh ok, I thought I saw you mention you had one of McG's guys "around 86 on your list" so I figured you had a list made up.

I might of mentioned either your man Oscar at the mark or even one of my men (berg)for that position I would like berg higher than 86 but after seeing this list come together i can't really honestly do that but 86 for berg I would prefer but the margins between fighters is as I say wafer thin so no complaints from me
