Edis vacated his EU-belt and now there is some rumours going around that he might face Archie Ray Marquez in his next fight.. This would be a massive step up :good

''Earlier today Team Marquez announced that the March 2nd scheduled bout between Archie Ray Marquez (15-2, 9KO’s) and Edis Tatli (19-0, 5KO’s) in Tatli’s hometown of Helinski, Finland, is now in question as the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) Intercontinental Lighweight Title the two men were hoping to fight for is currently “unavailable”.

Powerhouse promotion company Top Rank Inc., currently has the rights to the belt and is looking to award it next month. Marquez’s promoter Gary Shaw Productions and it’s matchmaker John Beninati, are still pursuing of the WBA belt and hope they will receive a final word from the sanctioning body by the end of this week.

“If the belt isn’t available (Tatli) will fight someone else for minor belt,” says Marquez’s manager Jacob Maes.

Team Marquez remains optimistic on a fight in Finland. “This opportunity to go abroad will put Archie back in contention for a world title,” said Maes. “However, we will only fight him if officials are neutral and it’s a title bout.”

Tatli's next fight against an upset artist Felix Lora! Lora is a WBA Inter-Continental champion and title is on the line.

    Edis is ready:

Awesome condition otherwise, but... midsection seems very weak. Do some situps, boy. Otherwise you will be abused by body punches once you face someone that can actually throw them.
