he posts on here. the man is full of wisdom and is highly respected here for his boxing iq and his humanness, if that is even a word
Stunned to see my name here, J. 'ppreciate the props...but just clicked on the link, unless my memory's totally shot (which my wife accuses me of) I didn't write it.
Criticize his resume all you want. Criticize his injury against Byrd. Criticize the cuts he suffered against Lennox. You cannot, however, question his H2H ability. Vitali has proven he is a top 5 H2H Heavyweight. Deal with it, haters. :deal
Based on what? Beating old, fat Lewis? The young contender is supposed to BEAT the old champion, not get his face amputated ffs atsch
How do I know how good he is against the ATG's when the only one he fought was in the last fight of his career and stopped him? And when his best career victory is over Corrie Sanders, who might make a top 50 HW list depending on how I woke up that given morning. Vitali's H2H ability is overrated like crazy on this site. It's opinion, but I judge on what they did, not on what I think they'd be able to do. Therefore, he suffers the consequences of having reigned in the weakest HW era ever, and having not put together a good reign back in the late 90's/early 00's to make me feel otherwise.
Too bad theres no such thing as a top h2h category. Anytime you enter a realm of ranking strictly by hypothetical h2h matchups, much like p4p lists, they hold very little credibility in ths real world. But to noobs and fanboys, guess they mean the world.
Who has he ever beat? he lost to the only ATG he ever faced and the only very good fighter he ever faced . . . another Vittles fanboy who is butthurt and trying to change the channel . . . TKO6 *****:hi:
There is no such thing as "win" on cuts in boxing - it is not a cat fight. Vitali was robbed against Lewis. Haters are clinging to straws.
