Something to say about Johnson & Dempsey being excluded. I can't reconcile that, but that's just me.

How about a guy whose resume includes wins over.
    Ratner
    Renault
    Rosenbloom
    Risko
    Rin Tin Tin [scrub him]
    Gorman
    Loughran
    Mctigue
    Gans
    Flowers
    Uzcudun
    Berlenbach
    Renault
    ????
    ps He was another Jack.

Mentioning Rosenbloom, he has wins over.

    Pastor
    Nova
    Ramage
    Levinsky
    TK Lewis
    Godwin
    Gainer
    Walker
    Slattery
    Lomski
    Hudkins
    Braddock
    Wilson
    Shade
    P J Gans
    Fox
    J H Lewis.
Does that not compare to M Spinks's record?

Addie, if you're not impressed by Zarate's level of opposition check him out Vs John Kpalongo, one of the most awkwardly gifted offensive beasts of all time, a bantamweight Menay Edwards.

lol one last word on why Harry Wills shouldn't be in it?
He avenged all his losses, and was disqualified 4 times quite early in all four matchups.
He is Langford's official conquerer..who McGrain calls his GOAT..and it was a good heavyweight division also.

Mike Spinks has that rare distinction of being a light heavyweight champ' that moved up and beat the reigning, consensus number 1 heavyweight in a title fight. I think that's an 'achievement' that could be seen as more important than a collection of quality scalps. IMO anyway, I can see the other argument entirely.

Yeah, and got sparked out by a near blind Langford as well.

Would you rank Wills over Liston, Tyson, Johnson, Dempsey, Wladimir, in your HW rankings?

That is why he wouldn't make it for me.
