Starchie Archie knocks out Bitchy Bernie...yes, knocks him smack out..if he could deck Marciano, he'd knock Hop's ugly mug flat out.
yeah, this is close either way. i'm leaning towards hopkins but i'm not confident in my pick. even with all the praise archie is given on these boards, i still feel he's underrated.
Archie is underrated in some senses, but overrated in any comparisons to Holyfield and Patterson :yep
B-Hop starts claiming foul from the 1st round on and Archie's heavy slick hands take control, B-hop gets dropped from a right hand left hook and falls to the ground holding his groin...RSC....funny but before the fight B-Hop declared "I will never lose to a Brown boy in the ring tra la la la la"
I think Moore takes a clear decision. But if Hopkins tries the overhand right, then ducks into the opponent more than a few times (as he does)...he gets countered hard by a Moore right hook/uppercut and possibly dropped/stopped. Hopkins would choose to fight on the periphery...with Moore applying tactical pressure. Hopkins is a great fighter, but Moore has an answer for everything he does.
Pretty sure he was referring to his ability to control range, Rip. Anyway, Moore. Hopkins isn't beating most great Light Heavyweights, honestly. Past his best by the time he stepped up there. He's not getting knocked out though and, Tarver-version, would be problematic to say the least.
Yeah, ARchie would smoke him..... Always amazes me how Archie was strong btw.... Damn!! This content is protected And what a intelligent and nice man also, his interviews are the best.
Moore would win on points I think. People picking him by KO, I disagree because Moore respects his opponent's detail for as long as he's winning, that type of thing. I don't see him taking the unneccessary risks, opening himself up to counters. If he didn't know what he was in with before, he'd know within a round. Smart enough to use hustle and power to stay in the box seat and will only get salty if Hopkins starts to peg him, which probably won't happen.
Hopkins by later round stoppage or UD. I'm obviously biased because I don't know Moore as well as Hopkins
