You say it's stupid and dont say a thing that makes sense. Floyd can agree to fight him if he beats Canelo. You are aware they are able to add clauses in right? :patsch

The point is not Canelos public ultimatum which is stupid. The point is Floyd got Canelo on the card with the intention of promising him a shot and has ducked out of putting it on paper as predicted - because Floyd will not fight someone who may be a threat. End of!

True. But if a person is going to claim that he fought a "bigger" man, I'd assume that the person would be at a disadvantage right? This is why I asked, if you thought it was all about weight.

Example - When may fought Cotto, we can all agree that Cotto naturally weigh's more. But Cotto went into the fight with his own disadvantages. Aside from dealing with Mayweather's exceptional skill, he was SHOT as ****. He was the shorter man, with the shorter reach. He was also the slower man of the two, especially at that weight. What people don't realize is that Mayweather is stronger than what most believe. Mayweather isn't stupid. He rarely goes into a fight with physical disadvantages. He doesn't mind at all going into the fight weighing 150-151, depending on who is fighting. That's the weight where he is most comfortable and where he keeps his speed. He doesn't care if the other cat weigh's more, knowing all the things I mentioned. May is very strong for his size (just look at his physique). And is ALWAYS in great shape. When you combine all these things, you realize that him fighting "bigger" men, is not always what it seems.

The last time he CLEARLY fought a bigger man, was when he fought Oscar. But there was a catch! I bet you can guess what it was...

I'm not talking about who weighed less.I'm talking about floyd not having a recent history of up stepping in weight class or fighting bigger stronger opponents.Paul Willams,Antonio Margarito,Miguel Cotto and Sergio martinez. What reason do we have to believe mayweather would fight alvarez when nothing in his recent history suggests he would take such a challenge?

lol I think you're selling Cotto a little short, but that's for another topic. I know what you mean about Floyd's optimal weight and being strong. I agree with you on that. I'd rather he weigh in at 150-152 when fighting at lightmiddleweight rather than try to bulk up.

    are you serious man?

Floyd Mayweather started his damn career at 130 :rofl:rofl:rofl:patsch
his last fight was at 154 vs Miguel Cotto

I agree 100% There is no point for May to get bloated or even try to "bulk" up. It doesn't benefit him or his style of fighting. I'm not trying to discredit May at all. I've said it many times here, that I think he is one of the greatest all-time. I just think these things are very important when evaluating fights.

You think I'm selling Cotto a little short but I truly believe he gave his last "great" performance vs May. That's as good as he was going to fight at that stage of his career and it still wasn't enough. Too many brutal wars. His skill and intelligence made it a fight but he had no chance. I think the fight vs Trout is truly who Cotto is now. Lethargic, bad condition, shot as ****. His punches have no snap at at all. His face gets torn easily. He looked solid vs May but he used to be much better than that.

Wow, and I was about to start giving Canelito credit for fighting Trout.

I should of know him trying to really testing himself was not going to happen. he's trying to fight Mayweather I understand about the huge payday. But if you really look at it Mayweather is a naturally smaller man, although he is the most skilled fighter out there. I want to see Canelo Fight a top level 154 pounder who is in their prime!

Is this really too much too ask? That's why I have so much respect for a fighter like Abner Mares, a REAL WARRIOR right there!

I love how automatically the Canelo-nuthuggers, Floyd haters and retired *******s are so happy that Canelo isn't on the May 4th card. It truly shows they aren't boxing fans, but simply want to see something Mayweather is involved with, potentially not do as well as it could have.

floyd is smart. he knows canelo is a threat. if canelo beats him, his money deal goes down the drain.

    You guys dont get it...

Floyd signed a $200M dollar contract with showtime for 6 fights. His approved opponent lists includes alexander, maidana, garcia, and matthysse.
He gets $33M no matter who he fights. The contract that was reported on mentions nothing about PPV upside...he gets $33M flat. If he does get a % of sales it is very small.

He's NEVER gonna fight canelo or trout.

some really **** fights against junior welterweights are going to be made....
