Doesn't Santos fight in a higher weight division?

 

Yeah santos is higher weight class but that ain't difficult to sort out .

Roussey has built her reputation on submitting white belts whilst santos has shown that she is pitbull Like & dare I say unstoppable at this point regardless of oppositions skillset .

 

Ediane Gomes, Cyborg's next opponent, is a BJJ black belt. She was subbed in under 30 seconds by Ronda.

 

Santos is likely to win as Rousey can only win one way and I don't see Rousey being able to hip toss Santos at will like she has done every other fighter she has faced due to the size/strength of Santos. But Rousey seems pretty tough and of course if it does end up on the ground........The thing with all these R1 victories is when it does go to the second round Rousey may get spooked. I have seen that with super dominant fighters before, self doubt creeps in.

rousey gets tagged in every fight she has, sometimes pretty damn clean and you can see it has an effect on her. This is against way lower level strikers than cyborg so cyborg definately has a good chance especially on her feet, rousey doesnt seem capable of setting up the clinch she just walks in throwing shite punches whilst eating heavy leather, cyborg could blast her out of there and it would make me a very happy man to see that

 

Exactly. All the big talk is about how she has performed the arm bar move millions of times and how natural it is to her. She needs to spend the same amount of time working on feigning strikes and getting a clean takedown as she just walks forwards getting clipped on the way to a clinch. She's gotten away with it so far but Santos would light that ***** up and probably get the KO in the first minute.

Actually - she's using very advanced arm stripping techniques that most people don't see outside of Gracie Jiujitsu schools. Since I trained under the Gracies I know what she's doing. Her boyfriend is a blackbelt under Rickson so no doubt he's shown her plenty of secrets.

I was under the impression that was Helio Gracie and his family that built the UFC.

But I could be mistaken.

 

The UFC was like an amateur Judo competition before it started to get promoted like boxing. The only way you could watch in the UK was to get videos from Brazil. After Tito Ortiz the UFC was online and people started to come to the gym with flame shorts.
