Yeah, why is Ryan so high and McCoy not even in the list?

    The work of crazies...

How the hell does Addie have more posts than me? That's Wack, yo. He's been here for, like, 20 pages. I got the 2nd response to the thread!

Because Ryan is one of the most dominant fighters in history, and McCoy, whilst he has a really nice run, doesn't compare?

Beating someone who is on the list doesn't get you onto the list. I don't rank McCoy that much higher than West who he bounced around in two. He certainly wasn't forgotten, and as is documented in the OP, was considered. But he didn't make it. Poor *******.

Jack's position is not final at this time. He was the last fighter to be introduced to the list. I quite like him where he is.

I'm not sure I understand your Levinsky point? Do you mean that because he beat Dillon he belongs? I belive he lost that series.

Regardless, beating someone who is on the list does not get you onto the list. Where is Aaron Pryor? Where is Cocoa Kid? you might as well ask. The answers are the same. In spite of their results against a guy on the list, they didn't do enough overall. Levinsky's record is patchy as all hell. Dillon's, much less so.

Cheers Matt. My name is Matt too.

All these great fighters that just missed means the next twenty places will be insanely strong

Was there ever any support for including Jack Blackburn.

He fought Langford, Holly, Greb, Walcott, O Brien on even or close to even terms and he also taught arguably the greatest out and out fighter ever, everything he knows.

No, Blackburn wasn't close and isn't in the next clutch for me.

Fair enough, as you point out, the next 60 places are insanely strong. But why are you so down on him. Do the Langford wins mean nothing? And even the Greb fight (just going off boxrec) seems to be a mighty impressive performance given the weight difference.

He fought a close fight (when outweighed) with no 1 and no 2 yet cant make the top 100. Talk about nothing between the top 100!

I'm not down on him. I just think there are more deserving fighters.

Interestingly, Jack isnt the only one with a similar dilemma.

Joey maxim defeated no 3 and continually went the distance with number 5 yet couldnt make the list.

James Jeffries knocked out number 6 twice and also couldnt make it.

Beau Jack beat no 4 but no go.

Ken NOrton broke no 8s jaw and couldnt make it.

It just goes to show how many truly great fighters there have been.
