People forget just how good Mini was, and Consistant, Winner of the Golden boot for a reason, When GI has multiple seasons dominating FB then he can be named with guys like Slater and Mini..
No doubt Billy is even Better but Mini is right up there, if he hadnt had those years cut from him who knows how good he could have got. For example: Minichiello ran 4,571 metres with the ball in 2003 Inglis Last year Ran for 3096 Brett Morris (Most mtrs in 2012) Ran for 3833 Just goes to show you how beastly Mini was at his best, In 2004 the NRL players voted Mini the Hardest man to tackle in the NRL.
Silly stat. Benji Marshall ran 10,000km's with the ball last season, only 300 of those meters was forward. I gather you and your fellow wall posters are having a Mini sick-a-thon. Lets just see how good they go next Thursday.
i dont think it is a silly stat, 4500 mtrs in a season is insane, GI was at his best last year and hardly cracked 3000, Got to give credit where it is due, GI is more complete there is no doubt about that, He has insane potential and is physacally surperier to mini, But Mini at his best was a great FB you got to give him that. GI will most likely be better then him when all is said and done, but for now Mini is above GI as a FB, i wanna see GI is SOO under a high ball with pressure all over him. Man i cant wait for Thursday!
Mini has never been a true superstar nor does he have the ability or vision to be a ball playing fullback like GI. Meters gained isnt a silly stay, but it isn't the "be all and ends all" that defines a fullback. You must have missed origin 2 last year where GI defused a kick to the corners by calmly throwing his arm in the air and letting the ball roll into his mits while being surrounded by blues jerseys.
mini in his day was an absolute beast.. but those days were pretty short and too long ago. plus ive long suspected him of using roids. the physique and the constant injuries back me up.
How the **** can Manly keep Stewart and not be over the Cap and not lose there premierships. http://www.news.com.au/sport/nrl/brett-stewart-contract-saga-resolved/story-fndujljl-1226587779251 Manly get a $60,000 fine for breaching the Cap all of last year. While both the Storm and Bulldogs got way more sanctions. What a load of Bull**** they should be docked points this year aswell.
They were retrospectively deemed to be $60k over the cap. The $60k is a calculated amount based on a current assessment of Tony Williams' value as a player last year. Kind of like how Parra missed out on Folau because the NRL decided he was worth about $200k more than he'd been on before he went to AFL. Melbourne were deliberately keeping 2 sets of books. Big difference.
:think Would this high profile player have been suspected of bashing his girlfriend at his previous club in a possible '' roid rage '' incident in 2009 only to come out with some BS story that he was stopping his girlfriend harming herself?atsch Crowe/PHAC cover up.:deal
:think have you seen the size of him in the souths team photo this year? hes built like an off season ronnie coleman and im not joking. its sitting here on my office wall, i wish i could show you blokes. he makes roy asotasi look aneorexic
So you believe they were only 60k over the Cap. Well tell me this the Cap last year was 4.6 million and this year the Cap went to 5.6 million yet they found they wouldnt be able to keep Stewart well tell me what real signings changed from this year to last year except Stewart.
