Canelo fighting Trout and Floyd not guaranteeing a fight in September are mutually exclusive. Look, I'll point out Floyd's many faults when appropriate, but guaranteeing a kid who is taking his first real challenge a fight whether he beats that challenge or not is being smart, not ducking.

Then came the demands for fighting Baldomir which is rather similar to the nonsense you're starting here. "He can beat Baldomir but he's ducking him". That obivously makes him the #1 welterweight. Even after retirement his return sought a fight with the #1 welterweight Shane Mosley. So basically Mayweather beat two officially rated #1 welterweights in the division yet he's a master cherry picker in the division? I always considered Guerrero a pointless fight anyway, as pointless as the unproven Canelo at 154. Only difference is weight division, absolutely nothing else.
