I've always guessed a big part of it is ego. People telling Floyd he HAD to fight Manny all those years probably got to him when he saw himself as the absolute best.

First of all, you are not privy to the details of their business partnership. There friendship should have been deeper than a failed business partnership.

The only known is that 50 cent decided to make it personal and air it out publicly.

Because when Floyd was in jail he was mouthing off about how Floyd was going to join SMS and that GBP and Haymon would no longer have mayweather to promote.

Then 50 gets canned by Floyd and Haymon/GBP and only has like 2 fighters

He was supposed to be "the up and coming big time boxing promoter who is going to change the game." Talked mad **** about GBP.

He's promoting Dib/Gradovich on ESPN2 and going on First Take to build it up.

Mayweather just promoted a relatively big event in Bundrage/Ishe on Showtime with a card full of his fighters.

Floyd stays being the bigger man and wishing 50 "nothing but the best". I tend to side with level the headed individual in a disagreement.

50 is simply acting as Bob Arum's mouthpiece. Discredit Floyd and pump up Top Rank fighters. Business as usual.

50 cent is just spelling out the obvious and what we all already knew. Floyd has been more business man then fighter. He's taken the fights that brought the most money with the least amount of risk. He didnt fight pac bc he didnt have to. There was plenty of money in fighting easier opponents , so why take a risk at losing his biggest selling point which is his undefeated record. It's all about money. Floyd is stretching out and milking his status as far as he can - losing would only ruin that.

50 is really embarrassing himself now in days. He really want some attention and Floyd won't give him any.
