I won't lie, as a big JMM fan I felt he was in deep trouble when he was hurt and staggered. BUT I knew without a doubt he would be fine as long as he was able to stay on his feet. All he had to do was avoid most of Pac's punches during the aggressive attempt to finish JMM. When I saw JMM survived I knew he'd be fine. History tells us Pac cannot finish JMM no matter how hurt he is. The 4th fight further proves this. Btw, the fight was quite even up until the KO. Nobody was dominating.
Exactly how I felt. I was obviously like, "uh-oh, Pac's coming on hard", but I wasn't like OH NO DON"T DIE MARQUEZ! He was on his feet and wasn't showing signs of being staggered or anything. Although in retrospect, it might have been turned out worse for JMM if Pac just cornered and tagged Marquez without letting him go down, forcing the ref's hand. Thankfully Marquez was always clear-headed enough to throw back.
After watching replays I don't really think he was as hurt I thought when watching it life. He staggered a bit but was still throwing back and countering fine, his balance just seemed off.
The better Pac looks against Marquez the bigger risk he takes of getting KTFO. He should just have a really off night for V and let the judges give it to him on the cards
If this was 5.5 round fight Pac would have won. It is bull**** this fight was scheduled for 12. I heard Roach is appealing this KO. PS - he is also going to make sure he puts a diaper on Pac in case he shits himself again when JMM kills Pac temporarily.
Yep, I'm not sure if this particular post-fight gloss annoys me more or less than "Khan was winning every second of every round against Garcia."
5 - 1 is laugheble. Correct score is Pac up by a round and winning the 6th. Also if i ever learned anything about watching Marquez is that the dumbest thing you can do is hurt him or knock him down cause you know he will come back with a vengeance. Almost every single fighter that goes for the kill gets knocked out.
