Perhaps Eddies been turned by their army of toothless web-footed fans

 

Doubt it's Groves as he's boxing on March 16th ~(according to Frank ) and there saying he will be on London Finest bill.

I'd expect it to be a Am turning Pro, Joshua's comments at PF seemed like he fancied the Pro ranks.

 

Hope its Joshua,he hasn't boxed for 6 months and done everything possible as an amateur.Hed be a genuine prospect for a world title,the Klitshkos probably gone in a few years time and nobody else on the horizon at the moment.

"Major" would point towards a big signing, 99% of fighters mentioned in here, are far from "Major" signings. Unless it is Anthony Joshua, who all the promoters seem to be falling over one another to sign.

He aint ready. If you were a promoter and signed Joshua, you wouldn't be throwing him in the pro ranks. Leave him where he is for another 2-3 years and then go pro. He will get exposed if he goes for the money to soon and it will be all over before it even started. He is very raw. And someone out there will have his number and take him out.

If this is the signing, then Eddie would be wise to keep him where he is for the time being.

 

Its probably some underwhelming amateur turning pro, Eddie has a habbit of making a big deal when this happens.

If its Joshua I'll be pleased as we need a new heavyweight prospect to take Prices place.

TBH with it only being over a week away (the show) the person's obviously been in training and i think maybe they have brought this debut for matchroom and probs pro day debut for fighter forward to help boost the March 9th show in sales.

I'd say with Joshua's attendance at PF and lack of AM activity he's most likely to be put on card. Or another AM.

 

Robert McCracken said Joshua's only getting back into the gym on Monday so it won't be him.

Big Josh or Kevin Mitchell were the ones that came to my mind.
I'm more inclined to think that it's a new pro though than someone like Mitchell or Groves. At this short notice, they're going to be fighting somebody with a 0% chance of winning, and it doesn't really serve much of a purpose bringing an established name over to debut him in a nothing fight. Unless that is, they're aiming for a really major fight on the Froch undercard and just want to get him exposure first.
