Round 2

Ilnytskyy is winging in haymakers with the right and swarming Selby. Slick dodging by Selby, dancing circles around Ilnytskyy. Annoyed, Ilnytskyy grabs him and hip tosses him to the canvas. Ilnytskyy pours it on and catches Selby with several hard shots uncorked to the face. Selby is trapped in a corner, getting pasted! Selby shows he isn't hurt by putting both hands behind his back and sidestepping from the ropes with his chin jutting out! atsch Idiotic, even if Ilnytskyy is feather fisted. Body shots by Ilnytskyy as Selby dances around tossing pot shot counters, including a stunning left hook. Long reaching right to the body by Ilnytskyy.

10-9 Selby, though I almost said **** him and gave it to Ilnytskyy.

20-18 Selby

 

Judges 1 & 3 gave it 10-9 to Selby and have it 20-18 to Selby.

Judge 2 gave it 10-9 to Ilnytskyy and has it 19-19.

 

Selby may have injured his shoulder. :think

 

...and potentially counterproductive. He already gave away a round on one card with that tomfoolery.

 

Round 3

Ilnytskyy is following with lazy jabs as Selby glides around the ring and switches frequently from orthodox to southpaw throwing long counters with one knuckle pad always cocked up by his chin. Very elusive movement by Selby, ducking and stretching himself out of reach of Ilnytskyy. Lunging jabs leaping forward by Ilnytskyy, footwork getting sloppy.

All three judges gave it 10-9 to Selby.

Judges 1 & 3 have it 30-27 to Selby overall.

Judge 2 has it 29-28 to Selby overall.

 

Round 4

Ilnytskyy is plodding after Selby and getting smacked across the back of the head with speedy light combos by Selby. High right hand by Ilnytskyy falling in, off mark as Selby twists into a crouch and hides his face behind one upright arm. Selby looks very relaxed, dancing around and casually flicking out right or left jabs out of either stance. Ilnytskyy is only touching him on the break after cornering him with wide steps.

All three judges gave it 10-9 to Selby.

Judges 1 & 3 have it 40-36 to Selby overall.

Judge 2 has it 39-37 to Selby overall.

 

Round 5

Ilnytskyy is hammering away over the top and pushing the left jab insistently, while Selby performs a ballet just beyond his range, looking smugly bored and even smiling at the crowd. Selby makes a show of ducking very low and breaking into a slow trot as Ilnytskyy chases after him in straight lines. A few clubbing shots to the back by Ilnytskyy as Selby dances around, putting in some throwaway jabs and arrogantly leaving his chin unprotected. Ilnytskyy bangs a few hooks up into it shoving Selby to the ropes, but Selby puts his arms behind his back again and grins while shimmying.

Interesting. The 2nd judge who had given Ilnytskyy an earlier round didn't give him the 5th - but the other two who had Selby shutting him out through four did. :think
