the funny thing is i used to like souths before i came across snide_bloated_choad.. i still want to see them do well i guess but jeez he makes it hard

Souths are my 2nd fave team too but have to admit anything bad about them that gets the steak fraud in a tizzy posting irrelevant nonsense about the past and **** that nobody but Souths supporters care about makes me laugh.

 

OK losing Williams would have freed up some cap space. But if all them players are leaving I cant work out why they couldnt get under the new bigger Salary Cap.

How? How can roosters and souths fit these ****s under the cap and Parra can't even pay Folau 400k. Breaks my head and heart

 

The players are on a contract that puts them under the salary cap but Crowe gets the players wives/girlfriends/kids whatever jobs as extras on movies getting paid 6 figure sums. Easts salary cap auditor Ian Schubert enough said.

Well he was always going to retain ownership for this year, i suspect he made comments about simplifying his life etc when he was disconnected from family & everything was falling apart, now he's back in Sydney & in control, i imagine he is less emotional & compulsive

But realistically, i doubt there would be anyone all that keen in buying into a footy club right now, they are a drain & dont make money but if someone was going to buy one, Souths would be no doubt first cab off the rank, at least they are starting to show a profit, sure it gets put back into the club for the most part but at least its not so much of a drain, its self sufficient

 

Good on rusty, we can still look forward to every celebrity who visits Sydney getting given a hat and jumper

Im sure there was plenty of interested parties until they realised that you lose money when you buy a football club and they arent money making machines like in the EPL and NFL. I cannot fathom anybody wanting to buy a rugby league club for anything more than being charitable and helping them out because you are a big fan.
