^^^ Makes sense. Those look like big gloves to my untrained eye.

On a side note; The front page confirmed the GBR got the third spot over UKR??? A match up with top seeded AZB is a tough ask for UKR. Two of their three best weightclasses will be underdogs. You have to favor AZB's middleweight regardless of how well UKR's rep did against him the first time around and putting Usyk in against Mezhidov will be difficult. Basically UKR MUST win at lightheavyweight to have a shot.

Probably the two best squads in the WSB meeting in the first round...

So i finally read why the UK finished 3rd and its utter bull****. Ukraine vs USA last week was postponed because Ukraine needed visas in addition to just passports and team USA offered zero assistance in this matter. The WSB recently changed it from delayed to canceled and scored it as a forfeit for Ukraine which means they get 3 points deducted from their total point score. Germany actually could have finished ahead of Ukraine because of this bull**** but fortunately Kazakhstan beat them 4-1.

I hope Ukraine protests this, gets their 3 points back along with 3rd place. They shouldn't be penalized for it and even with one less event they still have more wins and points than UK. Also can't help but notice that Kaz, Ukr, Azj, Rus are all facing eachother in the first round which also ensures only one can reach the finals. How ****ing convenient for Italy and UK.

Why do you have to favor Musalov over Mytrofanov/Golub? Having seen them all box i wouldn't.

It was the second time he fought Maxwell, and the second time he won every round. Maxwell came to survive. He fought with a sparring partner mentality.

Sorry; I screwed up. The middleweight I was thinking of fights for KAZ(I think) not AZE. It is not so much that I am enamored with him but the judges seem to be. So many fighters from over there it is hard for me to keep them all sorted out.

Too bad for Team UKR, losing those points over that technicality. They should have just all worn Sombraro's and U.S. customs would have let them in no questions asked!

The WSB of boxing seems to be gaining popularity, at least in comparison to the last couple of seasons imo. There's more franchises than before, bigger crowds, and I see a lot more info about it on the internet. Good stuff.

I missed tonight fights, but the WSB channel on youtube has them already posted up, looking forward to giving them a watch later. They sound like *******s:thumbsup

    Thanks

I thought that cheeky ******* looked familiar. Loma had him visibly shaken in their first fight if I recall.

From Rich Marcotta's twitter, "Interesting drama in Reno following cancellation of USA-Italy TV at last min. Fites delayed an hour to get TV truck 2 send feed out."

Was the fight during the 1st fight with Fred Evans fight when he gave Dmytro Mytrofanov a headbutt then the guy tried to throw the chair into the ring? Did anything kick off after?

I was so surprised with the amount of Ukrainians there, I never knew there were so much in London.

Only a single meet left, this Wednesday, before the playoffs.

It's a battle of the birds of prey, and CRUCIAL to either team advancing. The victor claims the fourth seed in Group A, while the loser is eliminated!

Algeria Desert Hawks @ Argentina Condors, 7pm local time/5pm EST/10pm UK

Currently Argentina is ranked 4th and Algeria 5th, but they are tied in points at nine apiece. Argentina has a meet record of 2-5 to Algeria's 2-6, but Algeria has the better individual bout W-L record (18-26 against 15-24)

Hawks vs. Condors will be our last taste of WSB for some time.

    The playoffs begin March 22nd.

The home squad is up 2-0.

Melian beat Legrand by UD and Carrasco knocked out Douadi.

The Desert Hawks' last hope to stave off elimination is, for now, Abdelmalek Rahou.

They'll need to sweep middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight.
