My man told me Thursday something big was cooking in the Haye camp.... He said it was pretty hush hush but wouldn't tell me anymore.

I assumed it was something to do with Haye v Vitali as that deal has been agreed for about a year...

Perhaps he meant either Groves or Haye signing with Matchroom?

P.S the stuff about Groves only fighting if he is paid up front is true.....

Hearn is just as bad as ****** like. The Hearn's litterally used their influence with sky, that they have from snooker, darts etc. to get sky to get rid of every other promoter from their contract, ****ing over a lot of boxing fans in the process not to mention the boxers who can't get on tv anymore.

Groves will get better fights on a bigger platform, this is the best case scenario.

He's also guaranteed to get paid, I dare say this makes a huge difference for a fighter.

Not going to be Haye.. He's never been signed with a promotor, why do it now? And he defiantly ain't going to be fighting on a Barker undercard.

Steve Bunce says he doesn't think it's groves as well...

    Is Jamie McDonnell possible?

Wouldn't really make sense him fighting next weekend though when he's mandatory.

Would Groves not have denied it on Twitter or something by now if it wasn't true? I am sure someone has asked him.

All signs point to Groves but I immediately thought Mitchell when I saw this thread.

I think it someone posted that they will sign a world class fighter.

With regards to Mitchell he's moved to Booth but already had left Jimmy Tibbs months ago and was training under Gary Logan. So he's left another trainer .

Nope this didn`t happen, Sky gave all there Promoters two years to get there **** together only Matchroon did delivering record viewing figures. The old ffn style cards are a thing of the past, the shows wern`t good with half empty leisure centres which look bad on tv.They could of given Hatton more of a chance but Hearn can work with the others as seen by the Crolla-Matthews match up.Mathroom are in a good position with Sky regarding thier other sports but does anyone with half a brain really think that Hearn could get away with dictating to Sky about what to do with other promoters.Fights like Haskins-Braodhurst are not good enough to be shown as a main event on Sky,things had to change

Maloney and Hatton would still have their contracts if they had done the right thing for their fighters. It's not Hearn's fault they are incompetent. Sky gave them an ultimatum and they still continued to put on **** shows, so they were rightfully booted off the channel.

If boxing is to grow in Britain, there needs to be a change in mentality. It needs big, well produced shows which have a feel of importance. There's room for small hall shows, yeah, but just not on national TV. Similarly, you can't put on one mismatch in the main event and then have a terrible undercard. It's not good for the viewer and it was rightfully put an end to.

Matchroom will monopolize British boxing, like they have darts and will do snooker. They will put Boxnation out of business by stealing all their fighters one by one, then they will buy them out like the WWF did WCW. Then the only mainstream and domestic boxing shown on British TV will be on Sly Sports with no alternative.
