Will Mayweather fight the winner of Canelo-Trout in September?

He already has the date locked in for September. The money is on the table with his new Showtime contract. So assuming he beats Guerrero on May 4th, will he fight the winner of Canelo Trout. If not who else could he fight at 147 who would be 'acceptable'?

Also why would he not fight the winner? Would it hurt his legacy if he didnt?

no he wont beating Trout or Canelo wont do much for his legacy. And beating Trout wont do much for his bank account. I cant wait to see all the people crying on the forum when Floyd fights somebody his size like Danny Garcia

 

If Floyd has a 2nd fight this year it will be against Danny Garcia if he gets through the Zab fight.

if Floyd comes out vs Guerrero looking like he aged overnight, I doubt he'd want to fight at 154 again

 

I see him fighting Martinez before he would Trout.

Trout is a "risk". If Floyd was to take a risk, why not go for one with the bigger payoff?

Trout is also a Haymon fighter.

He would be down for the Canelo match if Canelo beats Trout.

 

I think he will be more active. As Floyd said himself hes cashing out. If he wants to make the most money possible itll be to fight the 6 fights within 30 months. I doubt he still wants to be fighting in his 40s.

yeah, he can fight at the weightclass because of his skill level despite his size. If he declines some, it wouldn't be smart for him to compete there anymore

i totally agree. he fought 2 i think at 154 and he was the smaller man in both. not a good idea

 

I think he was planning on fighting Canelo if he won but after the ***** move by Canelo I doubt the fight happens

 

Canelo Trout is not an undercard fight. It deserves its own head-line and possibly ppv worthy. Plus Canelo wants to face the best p4p and prove hes ready by fighting a guy like Trout. No idea what ur talking about.

 

Everybody else thought it was a under card fight but Canelo. Everything was agreed to. If it was such a huge fihgt it would be on its own PPV. Canelo pulling out of the card will not help him get a Mayweather fight
