What if Tyson had kept his corner complete for his entire career?

Yeah, it realistically came anywhere from 5-7 years too late although as a youngster at the time, I have fond memories of the spectacle and thats because I actually, truly really cared about boxing at its then current juncture. The second one was on some kind of excessively diabolical tip. And I mean literally everything to do with it.

I think this post is unappreciated.

    Undisputed GOAT

65-0 record ... 50+ KOs ... breaks all significant records ... creates greatest legacy in sports history.

And most importantly, KTFO Lewis, Holyfield, and maybe even the older Klit

Coming from a guy name Kid Dynamite not much of a surprise...
I don't think all that would happen because it wasn't just because of his corner that everything went downhill for him it was just a matter of time

Tyson`s style was very concise, with emphasis on quick feet, lots of head movement and combinations in numbers. Meaning that he and Rooney had numbers they used for select combinations. Without a doubt, Tyson became more one-dimensioanl after Rooney`s release. He lost his structure and THE one guy who stayed consistent with D`Amato`s teachings. He became more of a one punch bomber, snd stopped using his defense and speed to get to the target. Even Larry Holmes said the thing with Tyson was his speed, and ring smarts. Saying that Tyson slid in so fats and and got his leg between Holmes ,which prevented Holmes from sliding left or right. He thought Tyson was much smarter than given credit for. True, Tysons demons and shaky discipline would have lead to problems irregardless. But, he would have had a great run at the top, with his corner still intact ...

That's funny because after Tyson knocked Mathis out, he explained that he figured out Mathis style because he (Tyson) was the best at that style and he knew it better than mathis

Sometimes I feel Holyfield always has Tysons number, other times I feel Holyfields win over Tyson is extremely overrated.

Bowe never beats Tyson. Tyson wipes the floor with him, especially a Kevin Rooney trained Tyson. Tyson really needs to get to Lewis while Lewis was younger and maybe try and ruin him like he did to Biggs. As both men get older Lewis holds the advantage.

If Tyson can spend all night clubbing and banging Japanese birds and turn up for the fight completely untrained and still get a knockdown from the first decent punch he landed, im sure a better trained Tyson would do a better job.

However Douglas always has the style/physical tool set to give Tyson trouble. I think hed go the same way as Tucker

And I'm sure a better trained Douglas does an even better job still.

Fact is, in his prime, he got battered by Douglas. It wasn't even close Douglas kicked the **** out of him.

Sure Tyson will have a punchers chance against anyone but against Douglas that's all he has.

why the big deal about Cus? Cus died before Tyson had any kind of meaningful fight. Tyson continued to improve dramatically for another 4yrs. OK, he was heavyweight champ of the world but he was still a kid developing emotionally. Cus woulda had to chain him to a radiator to stop him going out whoring and touring at 21/22yr old with a sackful of money and all the accesses to depravity that comes with his fame. Sure, he may have made a bit of a difference when it came to training camp for fights, but Tyson still woulda been living to excess between them albiet maybe on a lesser scale, and that **** takes it outta a fighter.

And he doesnt hold the title for 45yrs, 8564 defences, and KO everyone who comes after him either. Tysons style of fighting makes for a short enough career at the top relatively speaking. I still see Douglas beating him (though Tyson takes the return) and i still see Holy beating him too, only sooner in time.

This is just the truth. The stability and consistency keeps him together for MAYBE another 2 years, before Don King, his fame and fortune, and his own broken, damaged psyche get him into trouble. I frankly do not believe history changes that much.

he would have gone unbeaten until about 96 where holyfield or lewis beat him in a rematch .
