Will Mayweather fight the winner of Canelo-Trout in September?

    the timing was off on that fight. The only real opportunity to fight him was in place of Ortiz and Floyd wasn't going to fight Sergio after the layoff

    :yep it would look pretty bad. Who knows though, Canelo seems to have an ego on himself and may make it a little difficult, but I think he'll be excited at the shot at Mayweather and will make things go smoothly

    Floyd won't fight either. Too small at 154, and has painted himself into a corner on the catchweight issue.

    If he hadn't, he probably would have drained Sergio down to 150.

    Trout is a risk but Sergio can actually really hurt him in the fight as he is good, fast and hits hard. He will not fight Sergo and he will not fight probably the Winner of Cotto-Trout. He is not a 154 pounder but he doesn't have any competitive match up 147.

    I really hope Floyd doesnt take it personal that Canelo decided to fight on his own card. Not only that but now fans will buy Canelos ppv two weeks before Floyds making it a tough choice for a lot of fans. I think Floyd will have to look great vs Guerrero to convince himself of moving up to fight the winner of Canelo Trout. That is the biggest risk he could take.

    The dumb thing about Canelo doing this, is that it gives Floyd even more of a disincentive to fight him. The weight is the main issue, but now you don't want to fight on his card? Canelo needs Floyd not the other way around.

    yeah I feel you on that. And the Canelo fight is free on Showtime, so that won't be as big of an issue

    This I can agree with. Floyd really doesn't want to fight at 154 because it's not his ideal weight. He gives up a little too much in terms of size, strenght and power, not skills. If he had the power to keep those bigger guys honest then I think he would campaign there. However that's not the case and I got to give him props for knowing that. Canelo, on the other hand also made the right decision.154 is a kingdom in search of a king and Trout is the beginning of the quest. The money will manifest itself for the fighter who can dominate. :bbb

    Floyd shoud fight Canelo, just not sign an agreement to fight him before hes fought Guerrero. Never overlook an opponent.

    It depends on how their respective fights go...

    If Floyd struggles to beat Gurerro... while Canelo dominates and knocks out Trout, I say the fight never happens.

    Face it, that is Floyd's track record... He don't take risks with his precious 0.
