    Round 5

van Heerden is walking through and leaning down on Hatton. van Heerden is using his size to bulldoze Hatton to the ropes. Hooking flurries to the sides by van Heerden. Hatton steps back and throws straight down the middle during a brief moment of fresh air. van Heerden is back on him, draping himself over the visitor. The ref is getting fed up with all the holding. He gives a mutual lecture to both. As soon as he's done, they jump in and tie up. Right upper-hook by van Heerden. Hatton keeps holding. The ref turns his ire on Hatton. Maybe the final warning there. Flush left cross by van Heerden as Hatton shells up into a ball on the ropes.

    10-9 van Heerden

    49-46 van Heerden

How the **** is he holding on for dear life?

The younger commentator is much more sensible

10 - 9 to Hatton though he seems so unsure of himself in there.

That cut was from a punch ? That might be hatton's ray of light.

Matty's doing OK,but is he doing enough when you think about where he is?

I worry when he goes flat footed and does that cross defence.Usually a bad sign.

    10 - 9 to SA

    57 - 57

That cut is annoying the fighter as much as his country's commentators are annoying me.

    Round 6

van Heerden is throwing his right jab but not placing it, with Hatton getting in close using cloak and dagger movements, and hooking away with furor to the body and head. Nice rally by Hatton. van Heerden makes a stand and rattles off several straight shots, but he's been torn and the cut over the right eye is now gushing. Hatton may even have opened another with his left hooks, as there is now blood in areas there wasn't previously. FLUSH COUNTER STRAIGHT LEFT BY VAN HEERDEN!! Hatton was caught with hands down. Hatton recovers and throws a combo to the body before holding. van Heerden dives in and gets pushed down upon. He snaps up and lands a right hook under the ear.

10-9 Hatton although van Heerden made a strong argument in the last minute.

    58-56 van Heerden
