Gavins only test to date, wins on points in a tough tough fight for me... Box and do what comes natural, no playing to the crowd/fans

No mate it was sound, he seemed clever not strong, I was expecting a big punch but when he hit me never felt no power. So I got into my rhythm then!!

This would be a really good test & one people would want to see.

I'd edge towards frankie as like he's said he's made lots of improvements since he's changed camps, better footwork etc & can now see what the fuss was about when he turned pro.

Hope you can stay busy this year Frank.

    Good luck.

He's good, but people talk about Gavin like he is the second coming of "Swueet Pea", which is ludicrous! His best win is over Michael Lomax for christ sake!

What about Junior Witter? People talk about Gavin like he is something special because he has the best amateur pedigree of any British fighter, ever.

But he's a pro, now. And not an outstanding one at that, either.

Unbeaten British champion ranked top 3 in Europe with a win over a former world champion in 15 fights, by the end of the year he could have won the Lonsdale belt outright, taken Vassell's Commonwealth and be European champion, all in less than 20 fights, that's pretty good going to me, especially when you consider that after the Horta pullout he had to go back to Birmingham and rebuild, losing a year and 2 fights in the process. Plus he has a top 10 ranking with the WBO.

Why do you think Khan, Degale, Price etc were seen as prospects the day they turned pro, because of their amateur achievements.

just a quick post from me fellas, frankie had a very hard night with me ask the man himself, he said his hardest 2 fights hes EVER had was mario kinderlan and myself, im not looking for anybody to kiss my arse or anything like that but just give me the credit i believe i deserve, frankie is a better fighter than me im not arguing that but we both got plenty of notice for the fight so any excuses after dont mean jack ****, maybe frankie didnt perform great because i never let him? we have sparred since we fought and i didnt do too badly then either, i didnt dominate the spar but i wasnt out of my depth either, frankies a top fighter and a top bloke, i wish him all the very best
