Just wondering as I did not see Ricky at his fight in SA tonight.

Must be awkward for Matthew with Rickys bust up with their dad.

Before tonight he mentioned fighting Senchenko to avenge Ricky's defeat to him.

From Ricky's fight he said it was difficult as Matthew still close to the parents but said they still got on.

Did it ever come out what the fall out was over?

yes, they are close, but Ricky is a City supporter, and Matthew is a Man United supporter, he won't even play on his brothers Man City pool table

I think Ricky probably didn't go to South Africa as his Dad was out there, bit strange that Matthew left Hatton promotions though

    That's my understanding too.

I don't fancy ending up in court but it's rumoured that Ray's desire to (shall we say) look after Ricky's money in a responsible manner was a major reason for the breakdown of their relationship.

Let's face it, back in 2009-10 you wouldn't want Ricky having more than £20 in his pocket, in case he managed to ''lose'' it. The bloke was in a really bad way.

It's well known that as a family they are money mad, all of them - almost Phil Taylor esque.

    Ricky tweeted this morning
"tough luck for my bro last night"

Quite emotionless and non committal comment

Amazing what you can read into a 140-character maximum message.

I dunno, it's interesting isn't it? Ray Hatton was there last night because the commentator mentioned him. Maybe that's why Ricky wasn't? That said, Ricky didn't seem particularly arsed about Matthew's fight last night. He hasn't mentioned it at all on his twitter the last few weeks, not even a good luck message or anything. A few years ago when Matt fought Lovemore N'Dou for the same belt Ricky went on WWE Raw to promote it and everything! That tweet he sent this morning does seem a bit cold like; "tough luck". Almost a bit like a "get on with it" sort of thing. I could be wrong though admittedly.

When Ricky fought Senchenko Matthew was there but didn't walk out with him or get in the ring afterwards like used too. He was sat a few rows back so he probably had to buy a ticket to get in there. If they fell out or are at least not on as good a terms anymore then it's a real shame, they were all so close and down to Earth (the Hatton family), it's what made them so likeable.
