    Russell is tearing Gusev up with straight lefts to the reddened face and cutting off his escape with fast hard right hooks to the body. Gusev misses a 1-2 over Russell's head and then grazes with a left uppercut before scoring with a clean right cross to Russell's chin, but Russell counters with a quick right hook to the face. Gusev down. He beats the count, arguing with Tony Weeks although it was clearly a legit shot.

Russell goes to the body, plunking down that right hook and keeping the left hand coiled to pop straight into Gusev's grill. Quick straight combos by Russell menacing closer. Flash jabs by Russell. Gusev stays behind his shell. Russell rips a right hook under the elbows. Hard straight left to the body by Russell as Gusev puts out a lazy jab.
