Neither are at all likely but I suppose Rocky beating Foreman, because Foreman is allot more beatable and Rocky is better.

Dempsey can't beat basic quick small technicians, he'd never get past the jab. Foreman could be caught, so Rocky has a punchers chance of sorts, if a very unlikely one

Given a hundred attempts, Dempsey might be able to apply the right combination of head movement and pressure to take a points victory.

Given a hundred attempts, Rocky won't make it past the 3rd round against Foreman.

They're both pretty unlikely, but I'd have to say Dempsey beating Ali. Foreman was a very consistent fighter, and nobody smaller than him could have beaten him at his own game. Ali could occasionally get lazy, mentally turn off, and against a fighter like Dempsey that could mean trouble.

Dempsey beating Ali is certainly much more likley.

Both outcomes are much much more likley than the majority think.

    I go with the Rock

id say he hit hard enough to possibly do the job and stamina wise if he got passed the 8th or 9th in a 15 rounder he would probably win

As has already been said - both are very unlikely, but I see George Foreman, in his prime, eating up Rocky - pure and simple.

Rocky has a massive heart, but the laws of physics have to come into this. Two sluggers go at each other, and the bigger slugger will prevail. I actually think George would put Marciano to sleep.

On the other hand, Dempsey has a chance if he can show pressure like Smoking' Joe and keep hitting the body with plenty of head movement. It's not a great chance, but it's better than the chance Marciano has when he's being fed to George Foreman.

Agreed. Dempsey poses a similar style that Frazier had. Considering he was the man that beat Ali closest to his prime, Dempsey should be given a lot more than a punchers chance, although he'd be lucky to even get that from some.

Neither one really has a chance in hell. However, I just see Foreman getting his shove on every time and beating the **** out of Marce every time. Wouldn't be surprised if Foreman could take Marciano's shots either.

As primitive and limited as Dempsey was, styles-wise, his approach of coming in without a jab might actually work to his advantage once in a blue moon because Ali has his hands low. If Dempsey lands a big left hook with 5 ounce gloves on, who knows.

No he doesn't. Dempsey's a hooker but Frazier was much more active than Dempsey and could actually go to work inside. Dempsey was more of a mid-range fighter, like Tyson (except much less skilled and physically impressive).

Stylistically you'd suspect Dempsey. But if Marciano's durability is better against telegraphed, clubbing power, (Or perhaps his defense is) then just maybe Marciano can drag Foreman in deeper waters. Both take a shade of fantasy and imagination to envision actually occurring. Still would probably go with Dempsey, but it's close.

Dempsey, by virtue of his height and quickness, would have at least some chance against Ali. Marciano against Foreman is a joke. How is a slow, 5'10", 185 lb. guy with the reach of a midget even going to get close against a monster like Foreman?

There is just no way in 100 fights that Rocky's come-forward pursuit style is going to benefit him against George. I can only see annihilation as the outcome.
