The big big fight I wanted to see Terry in was the one he was clamouring for a few years---JC Chavez.

He offered to come in at a catchweight and everything but DKP was not going to make the fight. It could have sold very well on ppv, but never did happen.

Another thing about Terry Norris is the real real good job Joe Soyatovich did. He never got any credit and was not a guy that wanted the spotlight like we saw other managers doing at the time.

But I never liked JCC all that much and wanted to see him in what I thought was a very challenging fight. I did not feel he had that many stiff challenges despite all those bouts and old names he fought back then. I wanted to see guys like Terry Norris and Vince Phillips and guys like that in there with Julio and see how he did.

He would have had his hands full with a guy like Norris, & i don't think he wins too many 1 minute segments of a round while he stays in there. I think he's dominated A to Z.

The fighters you menetioned, JCC and Phillips were all jr. welters... The REal fights would have been a rematch with Jackson, McCallum or prime fighters in his division...

dont quite know what you're trying to tell me but..Terry Norris W UD 12 Ray Leonard

what was your score? mine was 120-110

why so lopsided? it was the SPEED. Sugar wasnt used to the speed

He wasn`t used to getting KO`d either... Nice to see chicken Norris beat on fighters past their prime and fighting above their weight class as well. Why I keep mentioning the fighetrs in bold letters. Is that when you get flattend and beaten by this caliber of fighters, you got no bragging rights... 9 career losses ???? yep he was great alright ;) ;) You and your girl have to hang your hat on beating a 34 yr old SRL. How pathetic is that ??

Yes. Terry Norris was too fast for a 34 year old Ray Leonard coming off a 2 year layoff. I hope that helps you sleep at night.

I slept very well that night, having fullfilled my predictions to the T. I always knew the outcome would lopsided. all he needed was the one chance where he came across a guy like Terry

no one else had ever treated Sugar in such fashion, and it was all on account of the speed

without the speed, why we wouldve seen another tko for Sugar after a few hard fought rounds, ala Don Lalonde or Howard

I got to tell u, that Howard fight never instilled much confidence in me

    Norris chicken?

couldve fooled me, the way Terry was beating on Sugar, who by the way was a 3-1 fave

and did I mention he was unbeaten in 11 yrs, & VASTLY more experienced?

u see people? Waynegrady reeks of sour grapes!

becuz 1) Sugar never gave the impression he could EVER give Terry a fight and 2) the beating was ridiculously one sided

He had his chance and blew it

Sugar could NOT cope this level of fighter, this level of speed, this level of defense

quite frankly, when Terry didnt want to be hit, he WASNT!

Sugar found that out the HARD way

Sugar lost to all fighters with speed (Norris, Camacho). Thank god he never got in the ring with Micheal Nunn, or worse Roy Jones

He lost the fight, redcock, because he was over the hill.
    Past it.
    Had the biscuit.
    Was past prime.

At his peak, he was FASTER than Terry.

    And he had a chin.

Which is why he's a top ten to twenty alltime.

    And Terry is ......

Well, where does Terry rank alltime....?

Does he rank at all ?

    that's where you're MOST WRONG!

if so he would not have been installed a 3-1 fave

moreover, not one expert came forward to declare a Norris win. Not Merchant. not Dundee. Not Duva. Not Clancy and no columnists either

    so your proof is?

    where is your proof?

    proof?

    ain't NONE

u got a ****ing speedometer attached to their hands?

sorry friend but u are left out in the cold on this one. with no way to prove your claim u are **** out of luck
