How come the Pac/Marqueerz robbery was never corrected and made into a W?

Mistakes have happened throughout boxing history. I don't see a flood of overturned decisions around, do you? I see rematches.....

The amount of corrections you could make to scoring throughout boxing history is too many to count. There have been knockdowns that haven't been properly scored before, this is nothing new, and it is not going to change.

I see rematches in boxing history, not "scoring corrections." Historical precedent answers the original question for this thread, as does the 4 fight history between Pacquiao and Marquez. (Rematches, not scoring corrections)

 

It's the same. The judge scored it 10-7 during the fight. He didn't change his mind until after he saw the reaction to his scorecard. Either way, there's no rule that a fighter has to lose a point for each KD as far as I know.

The point is this was the 10-7 was a factual mistake whereas scoring a round to fighter A when others think Fighter B won is subjective and obviously irreversible or there's no point having judges

So it's a very fair point considering some wins are turned into no-contests - especially when the judge in question admitted it was an error

Well to begin with, whether the judges made the mistake or not or had Manny winning by 1,2, 3 points Manny didn't deserve to win despite the early kamikaze. Majority had Marquez winning anyways, so a draw, in fairness to both fighters, was a fair decision. So the judge's mistake was justice happening as a Pacquiao victory would of been even more controversial.

 

Don't think so A.S. Marquez dropped him twice plus he practiced and perfected that same punch in training camp. First one that dropped Manny was an overhand right while the 2nd, definitive ko punch was a right hook/ overhand hybrid. No lucky punches there.
