I see that Lucas is looking to fight James Toney next. I wouldn't mind seeing that scrap, its a winnable fight and it would give him some exposure in the states.:good
He once tried to argue with me about a fight on the Dawson-Ward undercard between Bowie Tupou and Malik Scott and he didn't even watch the fight. The sad thing is people like him start threads wanting to know where they are showing farces like SBW-Tillman,SBW-Botha and don't watch decent overseas cards meaning Khoder and his ilk get rich and boxing is seen as a laughing stock in Australia.:-(
what a load of dribble. get over yourself u fool. u r impressing nobody. once again u r completely incorrect, so if u don't know what u r talking about than don't.
prove i don't watch o,seas fights. i was going to the pub for a drink. i was curious if it was on there. so what. how am i making the guy rich? i was going anyway u idiot. so far yes u r incorrect. an apology when u r man enough, stalker.
Back on subject (for one post atleast) Does Browne have enough boxing smarts to beat Toney this early on?
There are few better placed to offer guidance on beating up old, overweight opponents than Mark de Mori. If I was Lucas I'd be straight on the phone :good
my god. have you seen Toney's fight against Lebedev? even in the first round before he ****ed up his knee he wasn't even a shell of a shell of a shell of James Toney of even just 5 years ago. Toney's my favorite fighter ever and I don't want to see him fight Browne. if for some reason it was the weight that hurt him or coming into the lebedev fight injured, or whatever then I hope he's much better than that
I think it's a very interesting one. As much of a 'circus' Toney is these days I still don't think he's very easy to put a away. I personally don't think Browne will be able to get him out of there early and Toney stops Browne in the late rounds.
I'm not sure if Toney has the ability or temperament to last considerable rounds against anyone. I can't see three rounds passing before it is obvious which fighter is in control and it won't go much further. Any HW prospect not salivating at a wounded but willing Toney, doesn't have any other stand-out options right now. It should be used to call out any HW in australia and nz, then push on for over seas title or comm title.
James Toney has certainly seen better days. But after all these years he's still never been stopped, and only 5 men have ever beaten him. Toney is a big name to add to your resume, and Lucas Browne is not without a chance here, to say the least. 'The first man to stop the great James Toney' would sure have a nice ring to it :good
Wait til Toney steps on the scales the day before the fight, assuming it ever takes place. If he comes in at 257 and an obese slob like he did against 'Dangerless' Damon, I'll take Browne by stoppage. For now, BoxRec still has Browne fighting Egobi. So let's not get too far ahead of ourselves shall we
