But this is the reason people are so confused. Vasquez was saying the fight wasnt signed, so the sick note is irrelevant. Only Vasquez knows the answer as to why he said there wasnt a fight, then issued a doctors note saying he couldnt fight anyway.

It could be a rep of his signed upto the fight, Vasquez wanted more money and didnt agree to it, then finds out he has a contract so produces a sickie in order to gain more barganing time whil VVarren etc come to a new deal?

None of it reflects well on Vasquez or Frank but hopefully April 20th goes ahead and Burns wins and gets the recognition he deserves.

  3. Eddie retweeted a message earlier which tibbs had directed @ keep fit people he trains , it was along the lines of : dont pay , we wont play

People on here and twitter assumed he was on about frank

So he then tweeted that message,

I fail to see the difference between this present situation and the one that Kell Brook finds himself in. Same situation, different fan reactions, I wonder why?

If thats really the case and Frank didn't have agreement from Vazquez and his team why has the Mexican produced a sick note and also got his sparring partner to confirm that he was Tom and Dick last week?. If there is no contract then why bother? Vazquez has done it because he now realises that he is in the **** contractually

So FW has confirmed that he doesn't pay his fighters :huh

  6. How is it the same situation? Alexander never came out and said there was no deal 4 weeks before the fight leading to a wall of silence from Hearn.

If that had happened the situations would be comparable.

Both fighters left in the lurch because their opponents are "sick" or "injured"

The "Im poorly" approach by Vazquez is probably after the realisation that he has indeed signed something binding. The bloke is coming over as a bit of a fruit loop drama queen.

Come on DF. Most people don't book travel insurance for a domestic trip, And anybodys travel insurance will have an excess. Certainly any travel insurance I have purchased the excess was over £250 which would be the cost of a flight and hotel.
