I had my headgear for like two years, is it time to invest in another?

Good for what? You are bound to get concussion with or without headgear.

Well just like a bicycle helmet they shouldnt be used for an extended period of time. I didn't ask a question about concussions thanks.

    What? Completely false.
Anyway,if you take care of your helmet it can last a couple of years.

You think the brains wont bounce inside your head if you have headgear? :rofl

Thats why ice hockey and american football players are completely safe from concussions.

    Oh wait.

Well im saying that headgear is there to prevent cuts and bruises but it wont prevent concussions.

There for if it dont stop concussions the lifespan of a headgear IMO is longer than two years since it will prevent your face gettin cut up.

Also it should be noted that are we talking about certain price range headgears, certain headgear or just headgears in general?

If you got quality headgear then it will prolly last you much longer than 2 years but if you got some 30€ crap headgear its a different question.

It definitely protects against concussions as well, but I don't get cheap **** I got a pretty sweet lonsdale headgear about 2 years ago, just wondering how much longer I can keep this bad boy in service.

Think it depends on your brand tbh, Ive heard you never really have to replace a winning headgear

I have winning headgear, got it rougly 6 months ago and it still looks brand new, I would suspect the same with any brand though. It just depends if you take care of it or not.

Personally I would be looking to replace my headgear if it had any rips or tears in it or the foam was getting too worn out.

If you are concerned about it or someone has said something to you about it then think about replacing it imo, I don't think there is an accurate 'lifespan' on headgeae as it's individual

Not really concerned about it, but seen the cool looking Adidas competition gear on titleboxing.com and i am trying to find an excuse to get it. hahaah, but i don't like to waste money, so there really is no reason to buy it.

Like said before, I don't think there's an actual lifespan. If it's taking cared of you should be able to still use it until it falls apart
