Pianeta:"I was briefly Klitschko's sparring partner last year and I noted where his weaknesses are and how best to exploit them. I understand many see me as an outsider and that is fine but I will knock Klitschko out and turn the world of boxing on its head." Wladimir: "I have a lot of respect for Pianeta because he is young and has a big fighting spirit."
Yeah this sucks. I don't even care to watch this fight. I watched Pianeta and he sucks. He has no punching power at all and he is no threat to Wlad. It's sad really. Boxing needs to get away from these fights because it is hurting the sport. I think you should have to face the #1 contender every fight when you have the belts. We just need to have one belt and that is all. To me the WBC means the most. SO to me Vitali is the heavyweight champion.
We already know Wlads weakness and that is his chin. But Pianeta is feather fisted. If Pianeta wants to hype this fight he should punch Wlad at the presser.
Facing ANOTHER big, young, undefeated super heavyweight? Oh, my God. Two in a row! This is getting ridiculous. Klitschko is taking his own life in his hands every time he takes these chances. Too bad the fans don't appreciate it. :-(
Clearly part of Pianeta's plan, to lure Wlad into a false sense of security. Now that the fight's a done deal, the kid gloves are off.
No chance. The Klitschko fan club closely monitor this forum & he would lose his gold membership card.
Keep in mind when these fights took place and who had how many fights and wins at those specific dates( making a case you can't say he should have been fighting Fury, Pulev, etc.. Back in 2008 instead, as they were just starting to get their careers going) Which fighters had fights already scheduled vs. Vitali, or were just coming of a lose vs. Vitali. Making little sense for Wlad to fight them. Though in the near future, he probably will face a few of them. Wlad's title run doesn't look that bad at all, with the exception of Mormeck. He has no control over his mandys or who pulls out of them. OP, do you have a source for the whole HBO/Wlad-Jennings part? Seems sort of baseless and nothing but unfounded hearsay/rumors posited as facts.
